Good morning Carol, I'm one of those parents who believe in potty training early, I have much experience too, so it's great to read from another woman with much experience. I will be 54 in March have 3 adult children, all potty trained before 2 without a lot of stress and drama. I have 2 sons and one daughter and my sons were not hard to potty train at all. I know many believe boys are harder, all though that has not been my experience. I have been potty training children for 14 years in my daycare, most were trained before or at least by 2, some did not due to lack of trainig at home with the parents. In my experience i have found that success in potty training has more to do with the trainer than the child. Most people don't think about personal hygene when it comes to their children, i did and still do. I remember going up the the Naval emergency room with a friend because her 2 year old daughter had a what we thought was a horrible diaper rash that would bleed everytime her mom wiped her, well it turned out to be a really bad yeast infection, the ER doctor told her, your daughter is 2 get her out of diapers. Most preschools won't take them at 2 if they are not potty trained, and some daycare providers charge more if they are not potty trained. Thank you for posting your experience and opinion, it's great to share. J.
