I'm looking at getting a new diaper bag that isn't to heavy. Please tell me what your favorite is and also if you've had any that you dislike.

What can I do next?

I have a Skip Hop Dash bag. I LOVE it. Lots of pockets, and a flap that folds over the top. It is my 5th diaper bag, and my last. I was glad I decided to suck it up and stop whining about cost. There are far more expensive things out there (and cheaper too), but this one works wonderfully!

Hi Reese,
I am sure you will get lots of responses, but I love my Eddie Bauer backpack diaper bag. Its very gender-neutral, so my husband would carry it (which was a plus!). It is a stylish bag!

It was very roomy and had a side zipper that allowed me to reach in without digging through everything. I love the side zipper part mostly because I could pack the back full and still find things quickly that were on the bottom without pulling everything out.

It is roomy but not bulky.

I hope you find something that you like!

I love my "Skip Hop" diaper bag. It can be a shoulder bag or it converts to attach to my strollers. Love it! (They come in very cool designs also...we have blue camo so my husband will carry it.)

I got a Fanci free bag when I had my second child that is very light weight and would love as a carryall bag for myself, however as a diaper bag I really dislike it and just bought a Bumble Bag instead. The FanciFree one doesn't have a lot of good pockets, things fall out of it, etc. The BumbleBag is much better designed and does all the converting (messenger, backpack and stroller bag) and is machine washable. Pretty expensive, though. I just got sick of going through diaper bags every couple months.

Hi Reese ~
Diaper bag ~ for what??
How many diapers does one really need with them? Do you NEED three changes of clothes, three binks, four bottles, and all the other “JUNK” that gets tossed into one of those huge and heavy bags?
I guess by the time we got to our sixth child we were REALLY out of the ‘bag’ dependent stage. YES, in the car we had a duffle bag at all times. It had all the items you could ask for; But on my person <or my husband, who was usually nice enough to help> I carried a purse. One diaper, five or so wipes in a baggie, one comfort toy, a drink, just the things we needed for our outing. If my ‘outing’ was to the mall, I would have the bag in the car if needed, but it was not necessary to have it with us at all times. Changed the baby before we went, and had a diaper with us; good for at least two hours or so RIGHT??!! We always joked about having my ‘purse’ taken and they would find all the ‘baby’ things and nothing of value in it!!! Consider a nice pocket ‘purse’, you will wonder how/why you ever had to lug around a big ol’ bag.

GOOD LUCK.

I just splurged on a JuJuBe "Pack-a-be" (it's a back pack that converts to a shoulder bag). I LOVE it. lots of little pockets for paci's, bottles, keys, etc. The inside is light-colored so you can see in, the fabric is anti-microbial, the whole thing is washable... I could go on and on. It was $100 (!!!) Which I normally would NEVER spend in one place like that, but it was a birthday gift, actually, and I figured -- I use it *every day* and if lasts the way people say it should, I'll get my money's worth. I ordered mine online.
