Hi, D.,
You might try the following:
Kedren Community Mental Health
###-###-####
4211 Avalon Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90011
My sister, a psychologist, used to work there. If Kedren is too far from you, ask them for a recommendation to a community mental health center closer to you.
I'm a graduate psychology student who also suffers from anxiety, depression, marital distress and has two babies. One thing that has helped me deal with some problems is doing the mindfulness exercises in Jon Kabat-Zinn's book "Full Catastrophe Living." The book is easy to read, and the exercises are easy. I've done mindfulness (meditation) exercises with some of my adolescent students. Almost all of them seemed to like the exercises. When my kids are a bit older, probably a few years from know, I plan to introduce them to mindfulness to help them stay calm and happy.
Good luck,
Lynne E
Good luck,
