Hello if anybody can help I can't decide where to deliver my twins at MCA of Arlington or Baylor Medical of Irving my doctor us affiliated with both I would like to of anyone's recent experiences at both how it was how was your care how were the patient rooms? What is your opinions on these hospitals I just cannot decide my babies are due in the next 6 months
When I was pregnant with my son I originally was planned to deliver at MCA Arlington. I went for two appointments, and never got that warm fuzzy feeling about having my baby there. We ended up moving and I delivered at Baylor in downtown Dallas. I loved it there! I'm not familiar with Baylor in Irving but since it's an expansion of the Dallas location, I think I would go there if that was my choice.

Have you toured them both? When I toured the hospital I delivered at, I knew it was going to be the one for me, it was very homey and everyone was nice there. When I had to go in for food poisoning a couple of weeks before I delivered, it just reinforced how great they were there.
I agree with Patty K. I didn't deliver twins but I picked the hospital with the better infant care. Since there are twins there is a fair chance you will need the better care so check out the Nursery and NICU and see where they rate. Looking it up online MCA has a Level III NICU and Baylor of Irving only has a Level II so I would go with MCA that way if there is trouble then there is a less likelihood that they will want to do a hospital to hospital transfer. But don't just go on the Level of care - also ask how many babies per nurse, how many nurses in general are on staff at any given time. You are looking for more personal care from your nursing staff. How well do they know your doctor (pediatrician - not obstetrician)? How is security handled? Just a few questions to ask.
I had my twins at MCA. I had to have an emergency c-section all the surgery people were mean but I was very happy after I got upstairs everyone on the floors were nice I loved my big room.
I had a very bad experience in the ER at MCA so my vote would be Baylor Irving.
I delivered at Baylor - Grapevine and was quite pleased if I had another child and still lived in Tx I would return. I think Baylor is an upstanding hospital and they take great care when it comes to L&D.
Hi T.! From personal experience I delivered 3 babies at MCA over the last 7 years and from my last experience there you couldn't pay me to deliver there again, as a matter of fact if I was on my death bed I wouldn't want to be brought to that hospital. Each delivery was worse there and this last time I ended up back in that hospital a week to the day after I delivered my last baby with meningitis, due to what I feel was a huge mistake with the anasetheogist and also while I had an IV pumping antibiotics in me my IV came out of my arm and the nurse couldn't put it back in she had to call the charge nurse and I had to wait like 2 hours to get it put back in. I just feel like it might be the worst hospital ever and I even was planning on switching OBs because he only delivered at MCA. Good luck to you!
I would go to the hospital that has the best NICU. Don't mean to sound snarky, but base it on what is best for your babies not you.
