There is feathery yarn that can pass for mini boas. How about nail tip embellishments? I would also let them use scented sprays so it will be nice and fragrant when they take it home.
My daughters would like to decorate fairy houses at their upcoming birthday party. I have found inexpensive unfinished wood birdhouses at a local craft store, and will spray paint them all in advance of the party. Then, we'll have the kids decorate the birdhouses so their fairy friends can live inside.
So far I've gotten sparkly jewels, glitter paint pens, and glitter. But what else would you put on a 5" tall fairy house? Especially if you were a five year old girl! Thanks...

acorns, with or without their hats on!! oh, and walnut shells for beds.
This is such a cute idea!
Ribbons
Feathers
plastic mushrooms (if that is in stores)
leaves
flowers
little fairy figurines
Twigs
Moss
What a wonderful idea~ you did not mention your daughter's age but most girls love the colorful feathers at the craft stores. They make great fairy wings too. Aluminum foil would be nice to have on hand also. You could pre-cut stars if the girls are too young to do so. Colorful tissue paper and the big fat glue sticks.
Enjoy!
Jelly beans, marshmellows, sprinkles, m & m's. Hey, fairy's gotta eat.
Cheap snacks and decorations. Win/win
Mini butterflies
definitely the jewels & glitter
mini pink hearts
tiny colorfol stars
colorful mini squares of tulle
What a fun idea!
What will the boys are the party do? Perhaps you could do fairy and/or troll houses to be less limiting. Cut out foam shapes (come pre cut or you can cut them out yourself), florists moss, little seashells, tiny flowers (dried or fake). Remember - NOT all little girls like fairies. And some of the little girls with have parents (like me) who would rather stick a fork in their eyes than have anything to do with fairies (that would be the commercial Disney kind - not the elves, trolls, satyrs, fairies, gnomes, woodland creatures non gender stereotyped, non commercial kind).
maybe some paint and stamps so they could do flowers and or butterflies. I think this is a wonderful idea. Going to suggest it to my daughter for her daughter's birthday. love it
Flowers, butterflies, paint so they could possibly add some kind of design, and lace along with the items you already have. Have a wonderful party.
Flowers! Go to the library and get some of Cicely M. Barker's books for ideas.
twigs, leaves, stones, buttons too--natural things! and you could "hide" all of the things they could use to decorate in the yard and have a little scavenger hunt to find all the things fairies would like.
