I looking for ideas and recommendations for day trips with a 2 year old. We live in the Lehigh Valley and are looking for places either in PA or even in New Jersey. We want to go places that he will enjoy and be old enough to do things. We thought about Great Adventure but it looks like he is too short yet for most of the rides so that won't be an option. Well at least not this year.
Any recommendations would be great. Thanks.

K.,
There is a children's gym in Allentown called JW Tumbles. On Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10-2 they have a pay to play. It is only $8 per hour and you can stay as long as you like. They have a bunch of different slides, a rock wall, things for them to bounce and climb on. Its very clean and great for kids!
Hi K.:
Hersheypark, Lehigh Valley Zoo, Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia, Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster. If I think of any others, I'll email you.

Here's what I know and what I've heard about........
My daughter was 2 last summer and she LOVED all the local fairs (Musicfest, county fairs, Allentown fair, Sussex and Warren County fairs, etc)- we went to every fair in a 100 mile radius!
Apparently out by Dorney Park (I hear this is a cool place for little ones- good rides for little ones) there's a place called Bounce U (I think there's one in Bethlehem Twsp now too)-jumping, bouncing, open play times.
Dutch Wonderland (PA Dutch country) is supposed to be good for little ones and Thomas the Train is out there a couple times each summer.
Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos sounds awesome too!

I haven't done many of these things with my girl yet- we were too busy at the fairs last summer! But they're on our list for this summer.
Enjoy and drop me a note if you find other cool things to do!
