Day Light Savings Time

Hello,

I have a 4 month old baby and day light savings time is coming up this weekend.

I don't want him waking up so early in the morning. How do you get your baby use to the time difference? Do you keep your baby up an hour later? How many nights?

Any advice would be helpful.

Thank you!

I never worried about it. An hour is really nothing. It may be apparent the first half of the week after the time change that they are a little off but they natural adjust. I've never had any issues or thought anything of it.

Starting tonight, put your son to bed 15 minutes later. Tomorrow night, same thing, 15 minutes later. Repeat until Saturday night, when it will be a full hour later. Someone suggested this to me last year when our son was 9 months old, and it worked really well. He did not get up early. Hopefully this works for you too!

I'm doing the 15 minute thing starting tonight as well with my 9 month old. I think it'll work well! Good luck!

Change the clock & put him to bed at his regular bedtime. Forget that there has been an hour difference! Last year, I had a ton of errands to run, and he just happened to really mess up his nap schedule, so he was very tired and never even noticed the hour! You might try that!

Again nothing to worry about, I see you've just the one child so i am thinking typical over worrying first time mom. Don't worry - just go with the flow. Good luck to you & your baby - 4 months is such a cute age :) In a year's time you'll look back & laugh
