any advice on b-day party for daughter who is turning 17 would be great, we r on a tight budget right now as well so its hard for me to figure something out, and she don't help the fact either, please help?
hi everyone, thanks for the advice, i think she has decided to have it at a park, ok now my question is there are fees for everything at this park, to get in, if you want to swim or canoe, should I have to pay for all this for everybody if they want to do these things as well as pay for them to get in, which is $6 a car, $4 per person to swim and like $10 a person to canoe, i think thats crazy, but what if you have alot of guests, I no I cant afford to pay all that, what to do and say to all the guest?
most kids that age just like to hang out with friends...a house party with music (just hook her ipod up to some speakers lol ) & food & cake & all her friends. at least when i was that age thats what i wanted : )
I would save the money for the 18th. 17 is not a biggie. Let her hang
out with her friends at your house. Pizzas, chips, dip, soda and other
favorite snack foods. Teenagers just like being together. Happy Birthday.
I went to a teen birthday party that was a taco making party at the gal's house. Everyone brings a fixin' like onions, tomatoes, sauce, sour cream, cheese, etc. The host supplies the shells, ground beef, drinks, and birthday cake. The kids had a blast making tacos and they played Scattegories. It was a fun time!
I don't think I ever did anything big for my 17th...I probably just had a bunch of friends over for a big overnight. Have food, movies, music, etc. and they will certainly entertain themselves!
I think a house party would be great idea. Music, food, and some games on the Wii, if you have one. But if you are looking for something outside the house, then maybe go to a local pool. I know in my area, admission is only like $3-5 a person. You could limit on how many can attend to sve money. They would probably let you bring your own food if they know that its a birthday.
Do you have a pool? I loved Tia's idea. Maybe make it an overnight party? I just had a party for my boys and really, once they are with their friends, you don't have to do much extra at that age to make it fun for them. The friends are the entertainment!
