Hi, probably a silly question but you never know until you ask! (: Is there anything that will make dark spots on knees, ankles, elbows lighter? Any bleaching cream or something similiar? Thanks!

The medical aesthetician at my dermatologist told me that she could use a laser treatment and get rid of them in about 3 session for $50-75 each. But, they will come back eventually she said. I think its Este Lauder that makes one that is supposed to work, but I haven't been able to afford it.
Bleaching cremes work, but then you have to stay out of the sun or they will come back. If laser works, as suggested below, it's probably worth doing.
My goodness! I was going to ask the very same thing tonight! I have dark spots on my knees. I am very interested in the answers you get!
Probably best to know what is causing the dark spots? Are you roughing around on your knees on the carpet? Or crawling through the grass? So it's wear and tear?
Or are the spots due to age related changes?
I would recommend you scrub with a good salt scrub, or loofah with any kind of scrub, while soaking int the tub. Soak and scrub, etc. It will loosen the dead skin cells and hopefully the darkness will float away.
You could also make a paste with hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, which will foam up, but it will whiten your skin (as it does hair).
GL!
I have a dark spot on my face since I was preggo with #1. I use the Ganier face cream for spots, and am not as thrilled as I'd like to be with it. I hope others have some better answers. :)
Well, I have some weird dark spots on my stomach. Docs think it is due to BC pills.
