Not sure where you are in Chicago, but the Chicago Park District has a great program and it's cheap. My daughter also goes to Tip Tap Toe in Summit(Archer/Harlem) Classes start in September, one day a week for 30 minutes. $25/month ($6.25/class). Miss Paulette and Miss Carol are amazing. ###-###-####:)

I know this is coming to you late, but The Dance Academy on Irving Park in Chicago is real good. My daughter will be 2 1/2 next week and she's been taking classes there for a couple of weeks now. For their age they start out with creative movement but my daughter loves the class. The classes meet once a week for 6 weeks and we pay $15 each class. You can pay the full amount up front or as you go. Let me know if you have any questions.

She is a bit young for tap. At her age, they do what is called "creative movement" - it is hilarious but great fun. In OakPark there are tons of places - the Academy of Music and Movement, Panda and quite a few others. We go to the academy and have been since my sweetie was 2. I think they start ballet or tap closer to 4. They do some of those moves in the creative movement class.

Tip Tap Toe is also where my kids go. My boys started when they were 3 yrs old...they love it!
