Daily Headache...

I get a headache at the same time just about every day. What gives? I take 2 tylenol and it will eventually go away... it's always between 2 and 3pm. Annoying! Maybe I need a snack (I'm sooo not hungry)? More caffeine? I drink water all day like a boss, so I know I'm not dehydrated. What could cause this?

What can I do next?

I agree with the lack of protein and maybe need a smidge of caffiene... BUT I was diagnosed with a sleep disorder called Hypersomnia and I got headaches almost everyday because MY body wasn't getting enough rest. The reason I put my in caps is because what I need (without meds) for sleep is about double what everyone else does. : ) Now that I'm on meds to keep me in the 'normal' wake schedule, I still get a little sleepy around 2pm and that's when I find myself slouching and squinting at the computer screen the most... Because of being a bit sleepy.

So... That pulls everything that all of the other ladies said together... Except for what Theresa said!!! : )

My guess would be your blood sugar levels are lowest during that part of the day, so I would definitely suggest a snack around 1:30.

Maybe you have too much caffeine in the morning and you are getting caffeine rebound in the afternoon.
Another possibility: tight neck and upper back muscles.
I got a massage last week b/c my neck was tense and stiff. Turns out my upper back muscles are tight, too. The massage therapist asked me if I got daily headaches (due to the tightness). I said, "no, no headaches with me" and she was VERY surprised. She said, "WOW, for someone with these tight muscles, I would guess you got frequent headaches."
So three words: One hour massage

and see if they go away.

what time do you eat and have you made any recent changes to yor diet - like cutting out your afternoon coke? it's probably blood sugar level or lack of caffiene.

i get sluggish between 2-3 everyday and take another bcomplex vitamin. I'm sleepy. You have a headache. What a joy we are to be around!

You describe me, three years ago! I was about 4 months into a total nutritional overhaul (healthy) but got a raging headache at the exact same time.

Try a snack, especially one that has carb, fat, and protein in it (if you can figure out carb 60%, fat 10%, protein 30% that's ideal, but I was never good at the math so I just did my best!

Also, if you use caffeine (hey, I'm not judging - I gotta have my Starbucks too!) you may wish to do more of a 'slow drip' during the day. Instead of throwing a bunch of caffeine to block the 'tired' feeling and letting it all crash down after the caffeine wears off, try having an ounce each hour (yeah, I know it is hard to keep it hot and control yourself when you want to suck down the whole cup, believe me I've been there!).

Good luck - I remember that time in my life when I was popping Aleve. I should have been popping a cheese stick and almonds, an apple and peanut butter, yogurt with berries and granola, or a turkey and swiss sandwich.

Oh, and get the massage Susan suggests. I think one massage a week would be recommended :)

It may be blood sugar or maybe blood pressure? May be eye fatigue--maybe it's time for an eye exam? Hope you are feeling better.
