My cycles went from about 28 days to down to 21 after having kids. I don't know if it's normal or not, but that did happen to me as well. I know menstrual changes in heaviness or PMS symptoms is pretty normal.
Lately my periods have been getting closer and closer. Before I got pregnant, had children & breastfed my cycles were 42 days long. Now the last one was just 26 days! Is this something I should be concerned about? (Normal range is 28-42 days)

I would've been more worried about going 42 days between periods. 26-28 days is a more "normal" cycle. Your body is probably back to where your cycle should be now that you've had kids. But if you're really worried about it call your Dr and talk to them.
Actually normal cycles are between 24 to 32 days. With 28 days being the average. So your previous cycle was abnormal having your period every month and one half. That is what 42 days averages out being. So now your body is just moving into a normal average. When women start to move closer to 42 days, hormones are checked to see if they are perimenopausal. So I think after having pregnancy and then breastfeeding, your body was able to average out bringing you to normal cycled periods...
I'm not specialist but a normal cycle is about 28 days
so I would think it is better to have a 26 day cycle
then it would be to have a 42 day cycle.
I would actually be more concerned about a 42 day cycle. The "normal" range I've heard is 25 to 31 days. Mine has always been short, around 24-26 days.
As you age, it is not uncommon for cycles to become closer together, or farther apart. Perhaps you are entering perimenopause?
Everybody is different and after having children and breastfeeding, your body changes. My cycles range from 23 to 25 days and are normal. I don't think you have anything to worry about, but maybe still talk to your doctor about it.
