I just found out we are pregnant with our fourth child and if I can contain myself, I want to tell my husband in a cute creative way on Christmas. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the great ideas! So, I "made" an ornament that is shaped like a stocking and on it I wrote "Baby #4, on the way, Christmas 2010," and on Christmas Eve (if I can wait that long!) I will tell him that there is a new ornament on the tree for him shaped like a stocking (so he has some idea what to look for), and wait to see his face!

You can give him a gift from the kids. And write From: and write the kids names then the last one could be Baby #4. Hehe! So special! Can you really wait that long? I would be dying to tell my husband the great news! hehe

On Christmas morning, have his stocking all ready for him. Get 6 stockings that fit into each other, biggest to smallest, put "Dad" on the big O., then "Mom" then keep going and just put Baby #4 on the tiny O....get the camera ready for when he pulls the last O. out!

First of all, congratulations!! We have 5, all practically grown, but I LOVE big families.

The way we told our extended family, which also was over Christmas, is I gave my Mom a picture frame with 6 windows in it. It was one that you could write on the frame. She had a habit of saying 'oh they are just the cutest size' at every size they were. So, I put that across the top, put my 3 kids pix in it & my 2 nephews & the blank one had a question mark written on it. She looked first at my newly married brother--nope. Then my sister--nope and then walla it was me. It was really fun to do. You might do something like that.

So now all these years later, that question mark baby is now 18, that picture frame hangs on her wall and it always brings a smile to our faces.

Merry Christmas and have a blessed New Year with this addition to your family.

After he has gone to bed on Christmas Eve hang an extra stocking with all the others. It should be filled with rattles, little stuffed animals, or anything else babyish. The name tag could read something like Boy? or Girl? F. He will be surprised and the other kids will think that Santa is giving them a new brother or sister as a present. It will also make a great keepsake to share with the new child when he or she is older.

Awww!! Congratulations! Luckily, you only have to keep this secret for about three more weeks. Good luck with that! I have a very simple idea for you. Maybe you can box up some little baby booties and top it with a pretty bow. It has to be the last gift your husband opens...saving the best for last, of course!

We told our extended family we were expecting #3 at Christmas...we got a tiny stocking and the cake decorating babies you can find in craft stores...and put a baby in each stocing...we meant to put notes with it like "can't wait to meet you GranDan and GranMama" but never got the notes done. (We were all on a cruise together) So maybe something like that?

the only idea i have is to make a menu full of baby items like baby carrots, and things like that as your meal. or maybe make the whole day themed like that, and then if he asks why tell him... i don't know... i'm not that creative

how old is your youngest? maybe if they are old enough to talk, on christmas you can get them say, i want a baby brother/sister... and see what he says, then have him open a baby book or something like that... that would be cute.
