Hi. I need to make cupcakes for my sons school except that there are children with milk and peanut allergies. I look in the foodstore for a mix but all of them said may contain milk. If anyone has a recipe I would appreciate it? Thanks

What can I do next?

Cherrybrook farms has mixes that are both dairy and peanut free. You can buy them at wholefoods and I think I've even seen them at King's and A&P in the natural foods section. Also I'm sure there are recipes online if you want to make them from scratch. Here's one link...

Good luck!

My son has a dairy allergy. I have used mixes from the health food store that are dairy free. You can also make cupcakes from scratch and use juice instead of milk in the recipe.

What about scraping the idea of cupcakes.. and going with baked pretzels. Pretzels are awesome for people with allergies.. since they aren't made with nuts or milk. Our school pushes baked pretzels becausse of the allergy thing. good luck

Hi Stephanie,

You can always make the recipe on the back of a hershey's cocoa box (it's wonderful) and substitute rice or soy milk for regular milk. I personally think plain rice milk bakes better, but I know some people prefer soy.

Good luck, K
