My sons birthday is coming up, people pretty much make a cake but its made up of cupcakes...I want to do mine in the shape of a car, does anyone know where I can get a template or has done that before...I have no idea where to start :)

we just did the butterfly version - i suggest starting at walmart or bashas or frys or albertshons - they're inexpensive and tasty and with a party/birthday to plan - it was the very best choice i could have made for cake.
just tell them to go easy on the frosting and they won't put too much.
you can order ahead (can't do that at costco) and pick up the day of or whenever is convenient for you.
SOOO worth it.

Check "Bed Bath and Beyond" - I'm pretty sure I saw in a recent ad they have this type of template to make a cupcake cake in different shapes. Good luck!
Try the Betty Crocker website. I don't know about specifically a car shape cupcake, but I do know they have tons of great birthday ideas with instructions.

I would try a craft store...Joanns, Michaels, Hobby Lobby...in the Wilton cake decorating isle.
i just got an add for bed bath and beyond and they had those shaped cupcakes! dont remember ifthere was a car but it may be somewhere to check!
