I've been to Baylor in Plano and they have so many nurses, techs, and doctors that help you. I would highly recommend Baylor. I had a friend that worked at Medical Center in Plano for 19 years and left because they started cutting back on nurses and supplies. She said the care really went downhill. I would never go there.

My recommendation... DON'T have a c-section. It's not good for your body and health.

I had a doula client deliver by c/s there last year and the nursing staff was very supportive of her wishes for breastfeeding and close contact. They did take baby to nursery for the routine exams, youmay want to request that this be done after you have had a chance to nurse the baby or even request that all newborn exams be delayed until you are in post partum or that they be done in recovery so you aren't seperated from baby.

I have never been to Medical Center of Plano, but my experience at Baylor Frisco was fabulous! All the nurses whether in labor and delivery or postpartum-wherever, they are very caring and it was wonderful! :) Good luck!

I have not had a c-section there but just a hysterectomy there on Nov. 17 by Dr. Jacoby. The hospital is wonderful and the nurses that care for you afterward are superb. Most hospitals have 6-8 patients per nurse and there you have 3-4 patients per nurse.
I would highly recommend it.

Good Luck,
R.
