pulled pork. take a pork shoulder. put it in a crock pot filled with water so it just covers the meat. i also put in a chicken bullion cube. I put it on low all day while at work. when i come home take it out, seperate out the meat from the fat or any bones. I then put it in a bowl and mix in some barbeque sauce and serve it on a hoagie roll with a slice of provolone cheese.

I like to cook tough cuts of meat that require low and slow cooking. Beef Brisket, pot roast, ribs, skirt steak.
I love shredded meat and bbq sauce out on a bun. I can add carrots, onions, potatoes, and shred them into the meat. The kids don't know they're eating veggies!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup
1 onion, chopped
1 (16 ounce) can chili beans
1 (15 ounce) can black beans
1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
2 (10 ounce) cans diced tomatoes with green
chilies, undrained
1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning
3 whole skinless, boneless chicken breasts
shredded Cheddar cheese (optional)
sour cream (optional)
crushed tortilla chips (optional)
Directions:
1.
Place the onion, chili beans, black beans, corn, tomato sauce, beer, and diced tomatoes in a slow cooker. Add taco seasoning, and stir to blend. Lay chicken breasts on top of the mixture, pressing down slightly until just covered by the other ingredients. Set slow cooker for low heat, cover, and cook for 5 hours.
2.
Remove chicken breasts from the soup, and allow to cool long enough to be handled. Stir the shredded chicken back into the soup, and continue cooking for 2 hours. Serve topped with shredded Cheddar cheese, a dollop of sour cream, and crushed tortilla chips, if desired.
Enjoy :-)

In it, I give the following:
I am a crockpot queen! I use my crockpot or a sun oven that operates similarly almost every day. You can find tons of recipes online. I also like the Crockpot365 site someone recommended. You can learn lots there.

But you can also just use your favorite recipes and adapt them to the crockpot! Casseroles work well. Just put them in the crock and turn on high for just a few hours or low all day. Any whole chicken or roast or pieces of meat can easily be plopped in with some kind of seasoning and come out great.

Baked potatoes: put in potatoes all day on low. Add toppings for a baked potato bar.

Soups and stews, chilis, posole. Use your favorite recipes and put in crock to simmer/warm.

grain cereals: oatmeal, millet, quinoa, any favorite grains can be cooked overnight and then you can wake up to warm cereal and add butter and maple syrup.

Beans: cook huge batches to divide and freeze or single batches.
Enjoy!

My family really likes this one and so has everyone else that has tasted it.

2-3 frozen chicken breast
1 can corn drained
1 can black beans drained
16 oz salsa (it looses the spicyness during cooking so if you are looking for some kick def go with hot my kids do not like spicy and I still got with medium and there really isnt any spice to it)
3/4 square of cream cheese

Add the first 4 ingredients and cook on low for 8-9 hours depending on your crock pot. At about 6 hours the chicken will be able to shred easily with a fork. About 20 minutes before you are going to eat add the cream cheese and serve in tortillas like a shredded chicken burrito. EAsy, minimal ingrediants and GOOD! you can add the extras like sour cream and cheese too but its good as is

I like to make a simple chicken cacciatore, put chicken breast, a can of tomatoes, a chopped up onion, a chopped up green pepper, a can of mushrooms, a little garlic and some salt, pepper and basil. I usually use frozen chicken and cook it on low all day and then serve it over pasta or rice. If you want the sauce to be thicker, you can add a can of tomato paste about 30 minutes before you serve it or some spaghetti sauce.
Another is roast, potatoes and carrots. Put a beef roast or pork roast in the crock pot- fat side up-, chopped onion, garlic, salt, pepper, tomatoes. If you can, cook this on low for about 4 hours then add the potatoes and carrots for another 2 hrs or so, if you can't split it up, you can layer the cut up potatoes then the carrots on top. You may need to add a little water or beef stock so it doesn't get too dry as it's cooking.

Ok, here's one of my husband's favorite recipes that he throughly enjoys. It's very Deep South!!
Crock Pot Beer Roast
1 c. of favorite beer
1 beef or pork (we use beef) roast
1 package of Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1 package of Muschroom Gravy Mix (I use McCormick)
Generous salt pepper and garlic
1 large sweet yellow onion sliced long ways
1/2 package of mini carrots
* Blot meat well. Season both sides well. Lightly flour both sides of meat. Place in a hot, well oiled cast iron skillet. Skore both sides till well browned. Place some of the onions in with the meat while cooking. Pour drippings and meat into crock pot. Mix beer with soups and pour over roast. Place on low for at least 8hrs to cook throughly. Around halfway through cooking time, place your vegetables into the crockpot. The longer it cooks, the more it will fall apart.
Right before my roast finishes up, I cut up Russet Potatoes lengthwise, thin cut. I use the same skillet as the one is used for my roast and place a generous amount of crisco or vegetable oil in the skillet. Fry the potatoes until brown and crispy. Flip and fry the other side. Sprinkle with salt and serve with Ketchup. Add some sweet tea, and a homemade chocolate pie-Truely Southern Heaven!!

My favorite way to make chicken for tacos is putting chicken breast and a few cups of Pace Picante Medium Salsa into the crockpot and cook all day. Before dinner, shred chicken and put back into sauce and use for chicken tacos! This is SO good and unbelievably easy!!

The first is an Italian Sausage & veggie soup. For that one I take 1 pound of Ital. sausage out of the casing & brown it while breaking it up with a chopped onion. (This can be done the night before & just put in tupperware in the fridge for the next morning) I toss it in the crock pot & add a brick of frozen spinach that's been thawed in the microwave, several cans of tomatoes with whatever seasoning in them you like, or just plain tomatoes if you prefer, a can of white beans drained & rinsed, a can of kidney beans drained & rinsed & a box of chicken stock. Let it go all day & then when you're ready to eat cook some pasta like ditalini or whatever small pasta you like. Put some pasta in the bottom of a soup bowl & ladel the soup over.

The 2nd is a Mexican chicken soup. For this one I usually get a rotisserie chicken, but if you have leftovers or even canned chicken which I usually find vile would work in this recipe, too. Toss chicken chunks in the crock pot & add 2 cans any flavor Ro-Tel, a can cream of chicken soup to help thicken it, a can of corn, a couple cans of beans (any kind, I usually use chick peas & kidney beans), some fresh lime juice and chicken stock. Let it go all day, or even just until it's hot, then crush some tortilla chips in the bottom of a bowl, ladel soup over, add sour cream, or shredded cheese, or cilantro, or more lime juice, or whatever else makes you happy!

I am totally gonna try the Taco Soup that XINE posted!

I do a meal my Momma did in a pan when I was a kid. It can be with chicken breasts or pork. Momma did with bones...we do boneless.

You just put the meat in..it can be frozen if you are cooking it long enough. A few cans of diced tomatoes. An onion or two sliced up. Some salt and pepper. Then a bunch of Oregano. Let it cook all day till its falling apart.

We serve it with Early peas (canned..only kind of peas I like ..LeSuer brand =), and yellow safrron rice...but as a kid we just had white rice. Super easy and I always have the stuff for it here, so its a "back up meal" if nothing else.

I do roast with potatoes, carrots and onions..and for seasoning I put packages of dry mixes...one or 2 of each depending on how big the piece of meat is. Brown gravy, Good Seasons Italian dressing and Hidden Valley Ranch. Mix with some water..add to the crock, along with more water for your "broth". Yummy everytime.

Meatball sandwiches!

Frozen Meatballs (as many as you'll eat)
Pizza Sauce (usually two cans or three jars)
Sub Rolls
Cheese

Place meatballs in crockpot and cover with pizza sauce. Cook on low for 4-5 hours, or high 2-4 hours. Put meatballs in sub rolls, add cheese and serve. These are a quick easy recipe for our family! We all love them!

I made a version of this the other night from the Better Homes & Gardens crockpot recipe book.

I used
1 Eckrich skinless smoked sausage (they come in a package of two; original recipe said "polish sausage"), diced in 1/4 to 1/2 inch rounds
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (I used one really large one)
1 red onion, chopped
1 (16 oz) bag of baby carrots
3 bay leaves
1 tsp garlic
1/2 tsp thyme
1/3 cup red wine vinegar (recipe called for 1/2 cup red wine, but we didn' have any)
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 cup of chicken broth
1 can of black beans, rinsed (the recipe called for white or canneli (sp) beans or kidney beans, but we only had black beans)

Place carrots, onions, and tomatoes in crock pot. Pour in wine (or vinegar), and add garlic & thyme and broth. Stir. Add beans and stir gently. Place chicken on top of mixture. Place sausage on top of chicken. Cover & cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

Our crockpot sometimes gets "dry" (burns off liquids) and so I added the extra cup of broth listed (recipe did not call for any). It was a little "soupy" on the bottom, but I just used a slotted spoon to get the food out.

It turned out very yummy. It fed 4 people.
