Cricut or the like for Party Items

I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a good cutting tool (Cricut or similar).

I normally do all of my own party favors and decor for my boys birthdays and I'm getting a little bored with my simple ideas. I love what people make on Etsy but I think I to can make that stuff and hate to pay someone if I can learn also. I don't scrapbook so it would be strickly for party decor.

What do yall have and use to make party favors and decor (cupcake toppers, cupcake sleeves, banners, etc)?

What can I do next?

I think you mean Cricut.

To me the best favors are the simple ones.
Son attended a soccer party - was given a water bottle
Son attended a pool party - was given a towel.
Daughter attended a princess party - made foam crowns.

I have the new Silhouette Cameo and LOVE IT! You dont have to buy all of those crazy expensive cartridges like you do on the Cricut, you can buy single images on their site for .99 each (awesome). I can also use all of my own fonts which is perfect. I have used vinyl, card stock and even made my daughters birthday shirt the other day with the heat transfer paper. It is an awesome machine!

I don't know if you have heard of pinterest.com but there are all kinds of different ideas. Send me a private message with your email if you an invite or just apply for an invite on their site if you are not comfortable with a stranger having your email address. You will not regret joining...although it can be a bit of a time sucker because there are so many great ideas!

I have a Cricut and love it. It is very easy to use and the possibilities are endless. I think you would end up using it for other things as well like school projects for your sons. I would suggest you look at the cartridges that are available and see if they have what your are looking for before you purchase the machine. They sell a couple cool Cricut cartridges on creativememories.com also.
