So What Happened?

I searched a bit more, and one answer worked with very little effort, and also was around the house.
WD40 is one of those lubricant spray type, almost maraculous sullutions thats mainly used to loosin rusted tools(old power tools
with moving parts).
I tested a small area first,so not to mess up the whole screen,it wiped off like no effort at all,who would have known.
And thanks for the help.

Been there done that!! I went to Target and got a plasma or lcd screen cleaning kit. You use the duster and then you SPRAY THE CLOTH with the spray and give it a little elbow grease and it will come off. I used the tip of my nail covered by the cloth and it came right off. The handle end of a fork would work too. The kit was $10 and has lasted for a really long time!! I hope this works for you!! Good Luck!!

I'd contact the manufacturer of the tv and see what products they recommend or go to a good electronics store (not sure BestBuy would be my first choice) to make sure you're using a product that won't affect the quality of the screen.

Our LCD can not have anything but water on it per the Sony website, so I'd always suggest contacting the manufacturer via their customer service site to make sure you don't forfeit the warranty.

I think you're supposed to keep liquids and cleaners off the screen. I would first try a microfiber cleaning cloth. Keep using new sections as you work, so whatever wax you pick up doesn't get spread around.

Good luck. You might also contact the manufacturer's customer service line for suggestions.

Hi R.,
Sadly I know the answer to this one. We used Rubbing alcohol on baby wipes and a magic eraser on some spots. Good luck!

heat your iron, then put a thin towel (kitchen towel) over the crayon and iron over it. The iron will melt the wax and you can wipe it off with the towel, just don't put the iron on the crayon without the towel between them, or you'll ruin your iron.

We had the same problem months ago. The way my husband got it off was actually with a bib! He left the TV on so it would warm up the screen, which softened the crayon and then took the bib and it came right off! If you don't have a bib, a soft, clean cloth would probably work too. Good luck!!

Hmmm... windex? I don't have a plasma tv, but I have a "SMARTboard" in my classroom and windex (sprayed on a cloth diaper not directly at the board, then gently buffed) has saved me from substitutes who thought it was a white board (and wrote on it with marker) on more than one occasion.

Never tried them on a plasma screen but baby wipes remove crayons from pretty much everything in our house.

They say not to get it wet at all, but I found getting a very soft towel damp and rubbing it a bit, and then going over with the dry helped get popsicle off of ours. Hope this helps. :)

I have never tried it on a tv screen, but Mr. Clean Magic Erasers have worked for everything else I've tried them on. However you do need to wet them but as long as you squeeze it, its only damp. They could work dry, but I've never tried that.

We don't have a plasma screen tv... So I would check with the tv manufacturer to see what they think is safe... If it checks out okay, I would suggest a little olive oil (or any oil).... Just enough to cover the area... Rub it with something very soft - not cotton (not tissues or papertowel) - it's too abrassive... Something polyester ideally. That should remove the crayon. then windex to clean off the oil.
Good luck,
M.
