Does anyone know how to raise up the crayon in the Crayola Tadoodles Crayon Buddies? After reading the instructions, I threw them out, thinking it was pretty simple to remember. Well, I can't remember how to raise them up and pushing and twisting only seems to tighten the grip on the crayon. I also tried to check on the Crayola website and didn't get anywhere. HELP!!!

What can I do next?

I haven't used this product, but you might find something out by reading reviews on Amazon, eBay, etc.

Good luck.

Pushing down and twisting is the correct way to do it. My son colors with his everyday, so I've done it a lot. I've already had to refill them too. Good luck!

I don't want to sound like I am complaining BUT...these toys need to be recalled. There has never been a good review on these crayons and ,personally, I see money wasted. Do yourself a favor and go buy the 16 pack BIG crayons and save yourself.

Try calling Crayola directly or sending an email. They were very helpful when I contacted them about a problem.

Hi T.,

I don't have any idea how to help you but you might want to go to a local retailer that sells this item and tell them your dilemma. They will probably let you take a look at the instructions or even make a copy.

Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving.

Twisting it should tighten and loosen the grip on the crayon; when it's loose, lift the crayon up then retighten.

I agree they are a waste of money though..... we ended up just taking the crayons out and buying regular crayons after that. (and 1 of the 3 didn't hold the crayon to begin with.)
