They do! I was leary when I first bought them too but both my daughters love them! We just use a wet washcloth to clean the tile shower walls when they are done. They're both getting some new colored crayons in their stockings this year =)
Do they really wash off as easily as they claim?
ADD: I worry about white grout lines.

Yup. I do the same as Ena. Take the wash cloth and clean the slate for the next night. Funny thing is I end up using them more than DD. She tells me what to draw!
We've never had a problem cleaning them up. I just take the washcloth that I used for my son and wipe down the tub with it as the water drains. My son loves them too.
No...but they are a heck of alot of fun for kids and parents!!! Worry about the cleanup after the fun...that's what counts!
We have a tub/shower surround.....they never stained them. My son loved those!
They wash off of the tub not the bath mat. My dd drop one outside of the tub and on to the mat, it stained.
As long as you don't leave the "art" up TOO long. My hubby drew a pair of "pale green pants" (from the Dr. Seuss story) on the tub surround for our son (son wasn't even in the bath, it was a surprise for bathtime! lol) It stayed on the wall for a few WEEKS. I did eventually get it all off, but it took a lot of elbow grease at that point. If you wash off at the end of the bath, like the others have said, easy peasy.
And I must say, I did an awful lot of drawing FOR my kids, too! And it was fun! :))
We didn't try the bath crayons, but we tried bath paints. They irritated the skin of my son who has sensitive skin.
They do-With some elbow grease. Scrubbing Bubbles works well at loosening the marks up for removal.
