My daughter just got her 4 month shots and has been extremley cranky since then. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't know if this is why she is so fussy, but it started right after her shots. I can't do anything to console her. She was fine with her 2 month shots and they were the same thing.

Any ideas would be appeciated.

Thanks
E.

So What Happened?

We took her to the doc today 1/10/07 and they think that is is reflux with heart burn! We got some medicine and hopefully that will help!

Thanks for all the advice

I have 3 kids (ages 6,5 and 3) and unless my pediatrician said differently I gave an appropriate dose of Tylenol---based on their NEW weight :0) ---right there in the doctor's office before I left when the kids were infants. If I didn't have any with me, the doctor would even send a free sample to use right there or at home. I only had one doctor say only to give this if the baby had a problem but he wasn't the one doing a juggling act with a cranky baby and, in my opinion, it is much better to be ahead of the storm than play catch up once the baby is wound up with pain.
Best wishes!

Try tylenol. If she is too fussy or starts tio act sick call the doctor. My baby was great wuith the 4 mnth shots but terribly fussy with the 2 mo and her poor thighs got really swollen but the tylenol worked wonders.

My dr told me that this type of reaction is typical after the 4 month shots ( have a 4 month old too) and he didn't have a fever with the first round but with the second he spiked a 101.3 fever and it wouldn't go down with tylenol. My dr said the crankiness should be gone with 2-3 days so if it has been longer than that-I would call your dr. Also-has she pooped? It might be constipation which is also common after shots.
Good Luck!

My son was fine at his 2 month shots (just slept a lot), and a crank at 4 months...I'm sure it's normal! No Worries!! If she cries non-stop, I might call the doc if I were you.
