Cramps

Hello, I was pregnant 3 years ago but do not remember how I felt in the beginning. Right now I'm probably 4 weeks pregnant and I have mild to moderate period like cramping and back aches. Is this normal or is something wrong? It's too early for my back to hurt. The baby is the size of a decimal point!

What can I do next?

It could be anything at this point. I had pretty bad cramping, and my baby was just fine. Other times, it can mean something not so good. Call your doc, if you want. (Always!) Drink a ton of water, too.

But mostly, you just have to wait and see. Isn't that the worst?

See your OB/GYN fast! It doesn't sound right to me. If your OB/GYN is not alarmed by your current condition, then jump to see a second OB/GYN!

I felt the same way with both my kids. The first missed periods I still felt like I was gonna get my period but I didn't. I had asked my doctor about it at the time and he said that it's totally normal. Congrats! and good luck!

Make sure you drink plenty of fluids. Even if you are slightly dehydrated you can get crampy and achey. I was so freaked out early on because of the same thing, and my dr. told me to drink water or gatarode, 4-6 oz. every hour, and believe it or not it helped, and the cramps had completely stopped by 14 weeks. But its a scarey thing, so I would mention it to your doc anyway. Take Care
