I have long lasting painful cramps that don't seem to go away when I change position, walk, or rest. I know the baby is still ok, anyone have an idea of what they could be? I am 24 weeks.

What can I do next?

Three people I know in the last two weeks have had to go to the doctor for painful cramps...one of them being my sister who was pregnant. All were CONSTIPATED. It is that common and that easy to get dehydrated, and the pain is awful. Miralax works great to keep things going and totally safe. You would never think it was such a big deal, but super common and overlooked. My sister was in the hospital for three days and they still couldn't diagnose it. Additionally, even if you have regular bowel movements...you can still be "blocked."

I think since you'll be first to the "finish line" so-to-speak, the name is yours! You ARE having a girl, they MIGHT have a girl. She can always use the same name or switch it to Lydia Charlotte (since she has TWO Lydias and Lydia has 'more' meaning for her!)
Congrats on your new-to-be-baby girl!

See your Dr right away. I had severe pain on my right side and I knew it wasn't contractions. Turned out to be HELLP syndrome and it was very serious. It never hurts to go in and get it checked out when you're pregnant. Good luck!

It's probably round ligament pain from the tendons that support the uterus stretching. It'll pass eventually, if you're still worried though I'd call and ask the nurses. They get questions all the time. They'll tell you if it may be worth getting looked at.

I would try to see your doctor ASAP. It could be Braxton Hicks, ligaments stretching or something else that isn't serious, but it's best to rule out preterm labor or any other complications. Try drinking extra water when you have them too--if they are some sort of contractions, hydration is very important. I had preterm labor with my first. Best wishes.

I don't know what to tell you on this. I never had this problem but I'd call the doc or a er and talk to a nurses assistant if I were you to make sure everything is okay,

I am confused, did this question just change??

My original answer was ... if you have no problem with both babies possibly having the same name then who cares. They are being immature.
