Hi everyone. Ok so here's my question. I got the flu Monday and felt better for the most part the next day. On Thurs. I had a tea at Starbucks and felt really full, and just a while later starting cramping, they were mild. By lunch time I started eating and they got worse. Very uncomfortable, I took a few tums and later was feeling better but still cramping. I feel bloated a little gassy and crampy. Should I be concerned. I thought I wait today, and if still crampy that I would call my doctor. Thanks for any answers.

What can I do next?

Well cramping can be normal in any part of pregnancy. However if they intensify or you notice any spotting, go ahead to the ER. Better safe than sorry in my opinion. I always minimize things, but better to be overly cautious sometimes. Even if they don't intensify but remain annoying if any little part of you thinks you need to be checked out, just go. Your dr will be happy you did:) Everything is probably A-ok, but just to ease your mind you know...Hang in there and congrats on your new addition!

I would call the Dr. just to be safe! BUT also, cramping can be a sign of dehydration, and since you said you recently got over the flu, I would definitely reccommend drink LOTS ( over 64 oz a day) of water, and trying to take it easy.

I would call your doctor right away. It could be nothing (pregnancy comes with lots of weird side effects) or it could be preterm labor. The symptoms can vary and be difficult to determine. Check with your doctor just to be safe. I had preterm labor, and thought I was just "having a bad day." Although I waited until it became a near-emergency situation to get to the doctor, everything turned out o.k. in the long run. I had a healthy baby at 36 weeks. Good luck.

Ok so I know the whole be safe and call the MD comes first. BUT here is a question...when did u poop last? One part of being pg is the annoying constipation. Even if you are going a lil bit each day it may still be backing up and then you can have that gassy/bloated/full feeling until you can empty out a lil more. Speaking from experience sorry if TMI (have a 4mo old now) and did have both girls prematurely; it is almost the same feeling as premature labor cramps. It can happen to have cramping that early d/t labor but not as likely as something else...

I too agree on calling your doctor. After all, you will probably easily meet your deductible by the time you have the baby so why not just call? The other thing is sometimes when you are pregnant normal food and drink can react in weird ways. I had no problem with coffee, but could not drink tea at all when I was pregnant - strange because tea is much better for you, I know.
