I have Dysplasia and Endometriosis which was diagnosed in Oct 2005 when I had a laproscopy after 5 months of excessive bleeding nonstop after my son was born.
I am on birth control pills which my gyn told me that I needed to take because of my dysplasia.
I have been severly cramping every day from 2-6 times a day and some times I have 2 periods a month.

Does anyone have any advice, suggestions or input? has anyone gone through this. It hurts so bad almost like labor pains on a lot of the days. I have no insurance and don't know what to do. Nothing helps the pain.

What can I do next?

S., I am a chiropractor, doula, & craniosacral therapist. I find that women get great results with adjustments, and a new topic that I have been researching are natural menstrual products. I am presenting this information at the Mid-Cities/Tarrant chapter of the Holistic Moms Network on Wednesday, October 25 at 6:30 pm. Your first meeting is free, and you can find out more about the organization at www.holisticmoms.org. If you are unable to make the meeting, I would be happy to share the information with you. Many, many women are talking about how their lives have changed, including reduced cramping and blood flow by changing products. Many OBs are not even aware of these options. Let me know if I can help! S. Kahmann

I am sorry to hear what you are going through. I do feel your pain. I had severe bleeding, pain, and in and out of hospital for 1 year nonestop. After having surgery they did not find Endometriosis but did a DNC. Still had problems and they ran some tests and found I was Insulin Resistant(which is when your pancreas produces too much Insulin).

They but me on Glucophage and it lowers my insulin to normal levels and there is no bleeding or pain. I couldn't believe after months of pain that 1 pill would take care of the problem. Idon't know if they tested you for this.

Also if you are in Tarrant county you can apply for insurance through JPS Health http://www.jpshealthnet.org.

They are based on your income and you only pay a co pay to see the Dr. There are no monthly premium. My kids qualified for medicaid but I did not. I lost my job and I was so thankful to get this. They have a Urgent center in FT Worth and ER but they have clinic everywhere.

Hope this helps.

I feel for you! I had endometriosis myself for years. After five laparoscopies, two kids, and a hysterectomy, I am finally pain free. I don't know where you live, but my OB/GYN Dr. Sakovich is in Irving and he is the most wonderful and thorough doctor I know. I have to drive a ways to go to him, but I've done it for 13 years now and I'll continue to until he retires I guess.I know he does take a lot of patients that have medicare or little or no insurance. I've always had insurance but I know the office and they will work with you. As one of the other ladies said though, if you can find some kind of insurance it would be good. I have made ER trips more than once and they can get pricey. Here's a site to ck out. http://www.endometriosis.org/ I'll be happy to help if you need some support. It's a tough disease! Good luck!!!

I have similar problems to you. midol, heating pad, and, YAZ birth control helps me. YAZ is so wonderful, don't know why but you can go to JPS hospital and apply for assistance, and pay like 20 dollars per month for your pills.

The first thing I would do, is figure out some way to get some insurance. Any job that provides it. You can try going to one of the teaching hospitals, Parkland, Methodist, or Baylor . I think they have clinics . You would have to call. If it were me, I would try Baylor first. Not having insurance can set you up for a financial disaster, you could have some type of bleeding issue and need emergency surgery, and no one can afford to pay full price for those type of bills.
