I have been going to Tampa Bay Women's Care since I moved here in 2003. I have been happy with them and they have multiple locations throughout Tampa.

I am trying to find a good GYN to go to. Since I don't really know anyone here I don't really get recommendations on these things LOL. I am in the 33603/33634 areas (home/work) so I would hope to find someone close, but I don't mind driving a little for good care. Also, does anyone know FL state laws on tubal ligation (getting your tubes tied)? I am not pregnant and my youngest is 9 months old. My husband and I have talked a lot about it and decided we don't want any more children. I do not need an OB, I need just a Gyno that can give me my yearly exam and cousel me on the next steps in the tubal.

I have been going to Contemporary Women's Care on Corbett in Clearwater. I'm not sure where you are located but they are an amazing group of (women) doctors. Dr. Young is my primary and she is wonderful!! There # is ###-###-####.
I just had a baby with Partners in OBGYN. A division of Tampa Bay Women's Care. They have 2 offices. One near the stadium and one in N.Tampa. I drive all the way from Riverview to go there. I can't day enough good things about them. Good luck.

Tubal ligations - it does depend on the hospital. If it's Catholic it's just really a matter of signing a form. However, if you are having a c-section with a tubal, then no additional paperwork is required. I had a c-section & tubal at St. Joseph's Women's. No problems, no questions asked - other than being asked, "Are you still sure you want to do this?" about 10 times.
i am not sure how far i am from you but my ob/gyn is great. i go to bayview obgyn and they are all nice but Lucy is my fav. I just had a baby so ive spent 9 mths there. Their #is ###-###-####. good luck:)
I go to Carrollwood Obstetrics and Gynecology near you at University Community Hospital on Dale Mabry. They aren't actually affiliated with the hospital but have suites there.
They are really friendly and have a nice office. I never wait long for the appointments and the doctors are great.

Good Luck,

I'm not exactly sure what area that zip code is but I use The Women's Group. They have an office on MLK and one on Amberly Drive (New Tampa area). Dr. Barreiro is the one I see but I met them all during my recent pregnancy. Good luck.
I have to second everything Marie S said. I use Dr. Dill also but she wasn't on call the entire time I was in the hospital when I delivered my daughter. All the other doctors who came to see me were great including Dr. Hershberger who delivered me. I heard so many of the nurses at the hospital say that they use that set of doctors themselves. What better referal than from a nurse.
Good luck,
S.
I am not sure where your area code is exactly, but I think in Tampa. There are a couple of hospitals in the area that are run by religious organizations and they do not do tubal ligations without going through a process. However, there are others that do not have any stipulations. If you are on Medicaid, you must be over 21 years of age and your consent must be signed 30 days prior to the procedure. Some physicians are recommending that pts wait 6 weeks after they deliver a baby and have the procedure done as an out-patient.
