Couple Costume: Sheldon & Amy or 70'S Old People

I don't watch Big Bang Theory, so I'd have no idea who you were trying to be.

Definitely go with Sheldon and Amy! You husband should wear a 3/4 sleeve tight shirt under a short sleeve superhero shirt of some type along with khakis. As Amy, wear a sweater with a longer skirt like she does and add glasses. I'd die if you showed up to my house in those costumes but then again, I'm a huge Big Bang Theory fan! Best wishes. :)

i remember the year I went out with a couple where the girl really wanted to be drusilla from Buffy and made her boyfriend go as Spike. When he bleached his hair, he looked JUST like Spike. She, however, did not look exactly like Drusilla. I watched her face fall all night when people would come up to b/f and say "your costume looks great! You look just like Spike!" then turn to g/f and say "and who are you going as?"

Sheldon and Amy aren't very distinctive if you don't look like them. I mean, I've dressed as Kaylee for Firefly events and comic conventions, but it's a distinctive costume, even if my face doesn't look like hers. You have to decide if you think you'd be annoyed by telling everyone all night what your costume is.

If you decide to go as a retro couple, check your thrift stores - which should be overflowing with the worst of the '70s outfits this time of year.

Sheldon and Amy, but only if you go as Sheldon and your husband goes as Amy. Then the people who don't watch the show will think you are just doing a gender thing.

I vote Sheldon and Amy, even if you don't look like them. It is one of the top shows on TV right now so I would think a lot of people would get it. Target has all the shirts you need for your husband. If we were going to a couples party we would be Sheldon and Amy. My husband is hispanic and I'm a blond.
