How do you know which height stool is best for a 36" high table? (Counter ht. (usually 24" high) vs. bar ht. - usually 30" high) Thank you
I have both in our house and I just went and measured for you.
Bar height.....stools are 30" high and bar top is 42" high
Counter height.......stools are 24.5" high and counter is 36" high
So you will need to order the Counter height stools.
I have both and use both.
Mine are very simple... I actually found them in the Skymall magazine in the airplane! LOVE them.. they are a simple swivel stool, no back.
We used them so much in the kitchen at my island that I bought more and have some in game room and daughter took a couple to her new condo recently.
A bar stool is for a bar, not a counter height counter. If it's a kitchen table and close the counter it's counter height. If it's for a kiddo you might go with a bar stool but it will hit his knee's very shortly.
If you want a little bit higher stool go with a 26 inch set.
Just measured. My counter height stools (24") go to a 36" table. My bar height stools (30") go to a 42" counter. So you will want counter height.
I have the 24 inch high stools at my counter. We found they were more comfortable than the taller stools.
