I didn't have morning sickness, I knew I was prego because I was so tired all the time, If I stayed still for too long I'd fall a sleep sitting up, never did that before!
Can anyone share with me what kinds ofn early signs they had that they knew they were pregnant? other than the obvious(missed period, throwing up)
My husband and I are trying for our second and I'm super anxious to get rolling (due to setbacks and a miscarriage) I'm not due for my period for another 6 days, however for about 4 days now by breasts are super duper tender. they are a little swelled up as well but not too bad, but the tenderness is what really is aching. My husband hugged me yesterday and i just killed him because he hugs so tight and it hurt. I know i'm analyzing too early, but the last time they hurt like this i was preggers. I dont remember them hurting this early on though. But from what I looked up, they can start hurting a week after conception! Amazing how our bodies do this isn't it??
ok well, some of you were right. It was all in my head. Got my period today :( 4 days early to boot. Oh well, maybe next month right?

Nanc,
Sounds like a strong possibility. Mazl tov!
The dollar tree sells a pregnancy test (of course for $1) it requires the least amount of the pregnancy hormone to be prestent to get an accurate early result. I am in your boat. Each month we try and each month I stock up on tests just so I can test away. If you know anything about preg tests you have to be at least 10 days prego before enough HCG (prego hormone) has built up and can be detected by a urine test. So don't waste a ton of money on the expensive tests. The dollar store tests ARE JUST AS ACCUATE! stock up and test every day until your period.
Best of luck!!
Breat tendernous early on is a sign of pregnacy...however, it is also a sign of starting your period. I had a friend who thought she might have been pregnant, but she said it couldn't be because her boobs hurt so she knew she was starting her period soon. I told her...nope you're pregnant and sure enough she was. I don't want to get your hopes up because it can be a sign of starting your period too.
I had been pregnant twice. I lost the first one and had a succesful pregnancy the second time, but both times I had one last period. The first time I got out of the bath and dripped blood (never happened before)..I was pregnant. So the second time after I went to the bathroom, I stood up and dripped and I knew I was pregnant. That was my weird sign. I've never heard of anyone else having that sign before though. I just remember it was out of the norm for me.
Good luck on your future pregnancy.
With both of my pregnancies my breasts started hurting the day I conceived. I know this for a fact because the second pregnancy (triplets) I was artificially inseminated.

I would say if you're experiencing the same types of symptoms as you did last time ... there is a good chance your preggers. However, keep in mind a test is most likely not going to show positive right away. I had to wait until 2 weeks past my due date before my test came back positive.
Breast tenderness, frequent and urgent need to pee, tender or heated (just warmer than the rest of your belly) lower abdomen, mild dizziness and increased appetite are all early signs of pregnancy. Oh, and radical changes in hairstyle or a sudden urge to move... strangely associated with pregnancy.
Ask one of the wise women in your life if she thinks you look pregnant. Some women can just tell.
If you are just recently off the pill, your breast will hurt with your period, so it may not be a sign of pregnancy. However, with that being said...if you have headaches, are hungry, moody, back aches, sore breasts, and extremely tired, those are all signs of early pregnancy. With your second child (third pregnancy) you will be able to tell the signs a lot earlier. I was the same way as you, had a child, miscarried, then had another child. When I was pregnant with my second child, I could tell two weeks before I found out I was pregnant I was. I had horrible heart burn (which I normally don't have) and was really hungry and cranky. A pregnancy test may not show up positivie, even the ones where you can take 6 days before the period. I would wait 2 weeks after the missed period to take a test. You can save some money that way too, with how expensive peeing on a stick can be!! Good luck, I hope you are pregnant!!
My sister has three kids, and knew way before testing with each one that she was pregnant because of breast tenderness. Having said that, I never experienced breast tenderness in the early days/weeks of pregnancy with either of my two pregnancies. With my daughter, I was RAVENOUSLY HUNGRY ALL THE TIME and then I found out I was pregnant when I missed my period. With my son, I took a pregnancy test just before I was supposed to get my period because my husband and our friends kept making comments on how cranky and irritable I was. So other symptoms are hunger, tiredness, irritability, but remember that everyone is different!
GOOD LUCK!
Hi Nancy,
I am a mother of 5, pregnant 4 times and every time I was pregnant, my breasts were how I knew, they would always start hurting before and that's why I would start thinking about it. But the other thing is now, they also start to hurt around the time I get my period. They do have tests you can take up to 5 days before your period, you should try one of those. Good luck I hope you are!
Why wouldn't you just take a pregnancy test instead of guessing?
Hi Nancy,
Besides the obvious my sore, tender, aching breast was my sign. I could barely even wear shirts. (I also got this thing where I had to spit all the time, I know it sounds gross so imagine having to do it through the whole pregnancy) I didn't get sick until later on in pregnancy. So when my breast went to hurting and I kept getting a buil up of spit in my mouth I knew there was something in the oven. Oh, and I couldn't just swallow the spit or it would make me double sick.
Your tender breasts are definately the first sign of pregnancy and the skin on your breasts usually will turn a liite translucent (you can see lots of veins). Good luck!
I knew I was pregnant right away with my 2nd because of breast tenderness. The pregnancy test was negative...but I just knew. 2 weeks later the test was positive!
Good luck:)
It could be, I dont want to burst your bubble, but you could want to be pregnant so bad that your body will react that way. I tried for my second daughter for 18 months and each month I did the same thing. Finally I gave up wanting it so bad and I was pregnant. Breasts hurting is a sign that your period is getting ready to start, but it also could mean your pregnant. I know this is hard, but try not to think about it it will happen. I ended up being on fertility drugs for 10 of those 18 months and the months I said I had had enough I was already pregnant. I had gotten pregnant the first time we tried with our first daugher to. So you never know. I little tip that my doc gave me was if your not pregnant this time, try making love everyother night, this will give your husbands little swimmers a chance to build up so the chances are better. My husband and I did this for 18 months, it got to the point that we fantisized that we were someone else, it was like a chore, because it was always expected, not a "surprise" I know it can be difficult, but if your not preggers this time try and not think about it it will ease alot of stress. Good luck and God Bless. I will say a little prayer for you. and of course LET US KNOW!!!! First Response can detect up to 7 days before your missed period by the way!!
There could be other reasons--but I'd guess that you were pregnant. Go ahead and do a pregnancy test.

Hi Nancy,
You could be pregnant. When I was my breasts ached early on and several of my friends said the same thing. That was my only early sign. Good luck if you are!

Hello, What i think is that you could be starting your period because that sometimes makes your breast tender. You should wait a week then go to your doctor. Hope everything works out.
Hi Nancy-
Go buy the digital pregnancy test!!! It should show even six days early and once you see it in black writing you'll know. When we were trying for my second child I knew I was pregnant with in a week. I just knew it and kept taking test after test and wasn't getting a clear read, one even said not pregnant but I just knew I was so I went and bought the digital test and bam, pregnat.
Good Luck and don't stress about because it could increase your risk for another miscarriage!!!
Yes, u very well could be preggers. The only sure fire way to tell is to buy a test, there are tests u can buy that will give an accurate result 5 days before your period is supposed to start. I think it is called first response. My boobs always hurt right before my period, and also when I am pregnant so the only way I could tell was via an early preg. test Good Luck, L.
2 months ago, I was really wanting to be pregnant (still do) but my husband was not ready yet. He was wanting to use condoms, but two times we did the pull-out method. I knew there could be a chance. I wished I was so bad, that I got all the symptoms. I had very sore breasts that sorta throbbed, I was throwing up randomly, very tired and moody, the works. Every early pregnant symptom I could find online was fitting my bill. Much to my dismay, I got my period, 2 days early than normal! I had a doc app. after that (that period lasted 8 days, which is about normal for me), and they did a pee test, negative. And then about a week later they did a blood test (along w/ other normal tests) and again negative. I was sad. I am not trying to discourage you, but we have power over our bodies and can mentally have symptoms of things that we don't really have. It is what we believe, or just truely want and we amlify things that may just be nothing, on symptom. If you are pregnant, then congrats!! I am very happy for you. Just don't get too excited until you have a confermed postitive from a test.
Take care and God bless!
Hi Nancy,
Before I could take the pregnancy test, I felt changes including the breast tenderness, but also (and my husband things I'm a nut for this, but he's a guy) I noticed that my urine smelled different, a little like asparagus, actually. Also, changes in your mucus (gross, yes, but very telling) could also give you a little confirmation. Good luck!
Possibly. I know with my son before I found out I was pregnant, Lunch time would start to roll around and all of a sudden I was starving and fell light headed and dizzy. Then I would go to eat and I would eat everything in sight lol. Also, I noticed I was more tired than normal. I wasn't thinking about being preggo, but one day on my way home from work the thought just popped into my head to stop and get a test (a dollar store test :) and yup I was. But also, I just wanted to say if you guys are trying, dont make it routine and try to hard, I know that it took forever with me and my (ex) husband. Once we stopped trying - bingo lol. So just try to not keep thinking about getting pregnant, stress will make it more difficult to get prego. One other thing I did do too was I looked up online ovulation calendars so I did have an idea of when I was fertile and tried to make sure we did it around that time as well, but didn't think about actually getting prego :) Hope some of this helps...
I'm not going to say that you are, or aren't. However, we knew we were pregnant with our second a good week and a half prior to thinking I missed a period (that's a long story, my cycle was off). My breasts were more tender, my tummy was a lot firmer and I was a little more emotional than normal. My mom and husband also saw the same things. I would recommend getting a First Response Pregnancy Test, which can be taken up to five days prior to your missed period and see what it says. I've always had success with that. Good Luck - and congratulations if you are.
I'd say yes. I would usually have some tenderness when my period would come and when i got pregnant i noticed my breasts really hurt and just thinking my period was soon. Well it never came so i took a test and i was pregnant. We tried for almost 2 years. My tenderness came early on, so it is a good chance you could be pregnant.
