Sounds like teeth to me!
My son is 12 months old & still, no teeth. Has been to dentist & he says he can feel & see teeth under gums. He has had a low fever & been drooling a lot ( w/c he normally doesn't). He has a runny nose, also. Took him to doc, says probably just a virus. Oh & he is in a horribly bad mood. Anyway does this sound like teething? Sorry, I know there has been a similar post but I've been worrying, since he's 12 months & no teeth. The dentist was giving me worst case scenarios & it has me on edge.
unfortuantely, just a virus. ended up w/ a rash. no teeth yet.
As of a week ago, we finally have 2 teeth!!
Sounds like teeth to me!
My niece's child is a 1 1/2 years old and only has two teeth. The baby got her first tooth over a year old! My niece said the father got his teeth late too -- around a year old.
My kids had a whole mouth full at a year, but development is totally different for each child. Each child's milestone will be different.
No worries mama. It sounds like he is teething to me --- with the drooling ! If he is fussy, get some popsicles, put a wet washcloth in the freezer--in a ziploc, cold teething devices, ambesol may help...basically anything cold.
Check with your pediatrician to see if baby motrin or tylenol would be okay for the fever and pain.
If your dentist is causing you to worry, get a new dentist.
Not sure what's the worse case scenario that has you so worried. My kids got their first teeth at 12 and 13 months. According to their pediatric dentist, they have the healthiest and most beautiful teeth he has ever seen. My 7 year-old has also been slow/late at getting his adult teeth in (although they do show up in the x-rays). Just think, the later they come in, the later in life they'll lose them, maybe they'll never need dentures :)
he will get them when he is supposed to and if hes being a pickle I say he should be getting close
Yesssssss mama!!!!!!!!!!! Teeth are on the way!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to you guys on this milestone!!!! Enjoy and give him a frozen washcloth xoxo
it sounds like it, give him a frozen waffel to chew on to help sooth the pain
