I gave my son triaminic long lasting cough and now he feels like he's getting a fever. Is it safe to give him motrin too?

I would check with your doctor. I was told not to give over the counter medicine until she told me. Also, she said they have better medicines that will help them. :)
I don't like giving my kids too much medicine...and you didn't say how old your son is. You could always call any pharmacy and just ask them.
Call the doctor.....
Hi B., There should not be any pain reliever in the cough medicine but check the label and if there is none the motrin is OK. Grandma Mary
You need to read the ingredients.
If there is ibuprofen in the triaminic then DO NOT give him he motrin(which is ibuprofen).
If there is actetaminophen(the stuff in tylenol) then DO NOT give him the motrin.
If you are unsure wait until you can consult a dr. or pharmacist.
Always ask your pediatrican, most doctors offices have a nurse on call to answer questions like this. It is never safe to guess the answer because there could be drug interactions regardless of child's age with even very safe over the counter drugs. It is best to be safe than sorry. Very serious question.
I would be very careful and call the Doctor.
I would ask your pediatrician. He may recommend spacing the meds apart or giving one over the other. Just be sure to only give the recommended dosage.
I agree--call the doctor.
