Hello local mommy's! Last night I took my son to the C.G. drive-in and the sign on the door says "Do not drink our water until we get the comtamintion problem cleaned up." Do any of you know what the water has in it?
I am bit of a worry wart, I didn't drink it the water but I am a nail biter when bored (Smurfs not tool exciting in the beginning :)
So wondering about the posslible residue left on and under nails after drying them and the effects on my health. I didn't even think about it, to keep my nails out of my mouth.

If they were talking about PFCs then from the article Cheryl O posted, all of us in MN and those down river probably already have had a low level of PFCs in our blood stream since the 1970s. Ah 3M, you have been both so great and so awful for our state!

1st of all-KEEP YOUR FINGERS OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!!!!....really-do you have any IDEA..the amount of bacteria n crud you pick up on your hands every minute of the day???...blek-not to mention if you bite your nails an one gets lodged in your throat-its no different than a fish bone an you could choke to death.and have you heard that saying..monkey see-monkey do?? do you want your child to start this nasty habit?...as far as the water-contact the city-or health dept.ask them.

My family & I were just at the same Drive-In last weekend. Don't worry about the water on your hands. It's well water and it has a high level of nitrates or something. Nothing that will affect you other than some interesting poops... They supply water jug inside for you to get drinks from.

It appears by googling this - it has been going on for several years now...
You didn't drink the water so you should not waste any more energy on worrying about this.
No offense, but it is a bit silly to spend so much time stressing over something like this.
