Isn't it 'grammar', not 'grammer'?
tehehe
Brian's and my anniversary.
Other person's name should always go first.
:)
Tomorrow is my and Brians' anniversary. Is this the correct way to say it?

Brian's and my anniversary.
Other person's name should always go first.
:)
"Tomorrow is Brian's and my anniversary."
Though that is a little awkward, isn't it? I'd be more inclined to say "Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary."
"Brian's and my anniversary." Same rule about listing yourself last.
ETA: It's funny that people think that it sounds awkward. If we are in the habit of speaking correctly, then that should not be the case. Don't look for substitues; just get used to how correct grammar sounds. Also, Lola, Brian can't marry anybody's SELF but his own (himself). That's the rule of reflexive pronouns; "-self" only comes into play when the action is coming from one to the same one. I can meet with mySELF or ask a question of mySELF, but anyone else would be meeting with ME or asking a question of ME.
tomorrow brian celebrates the anniversary of marrying a hot woman such as myself. ya'll are invited :)
I think you should just say "our anniversary." People will know you mean Brian--there is no need to name your husband, unless you have more than 1 ;-)
Brian's and my anniversary. GrammAr! LOL
Tomorrow is Brian and my anniversary. You should always put the other person's name before referencing you.
Although "Tomorrow is Brian's and my anniversary" is correct, it still sounds a bit awkward, doesn't it? How about "Brian and I are celebrating our anniversary tomorrow."?
In all circumstances, the other person first. If the verb in the sentence comes first, it's Brian and me (or my in this instance) and if the verb or action comes after the names it is Brian and I or my. Some examples of action after names are: Brian and my anniversary is tomorrow. (is, is the verb and is after the names) Brian and I are happy together. Some examples of verb first are: Come to the party with Brian and me. Are you going to the mall with mom and me? This was always tough for me until I learned this trick. Also, one I didn't know until my boss corrected me when I was an admin. assistant. When I answer the phone and the other person asks for me, I say, "This is she." It sounded so weird to me. Hopefully, this is understandable:)
Sincerely,
M.
Yep. That's correct. Just take out Brian's name to check: "Tomorrow is my....anniversary."
mine and Brian's ....
I think?
why not just say "tomorrow is our anniversary"?
I would say so or "Brian and my" or "our annivarsary". Just remember just b/c you include someone else in your sentence or statement, the "and I" doesn't always come into play. You certaintly wouldn't say "it's I anniversary" would you?? So how would it be "it's Brian and I's anniversary" you'd say "it's MY annivarsary" so saying "it's Brian and my anniversary" or "it's my and Brian's anniversary" should be correct. Good luck, hope this helps answer your question.
