I have never cooked a turkey in an oven bag, but I have used them for other things and really like how juicy and tender the meat is. I'm thinking about using one for my Thanksgiving turkeybut have a couple of questions. If I cook my turkey in a Reynolds Oven bag, will it get golden brown? Also, how long per pound do you cook it in an oven bag (unstuffed)? Thank you!
I made a turkey this way last Thursday....It was amazing...and I have to say for my first go turned out GREAT!!
Mine was golden and delicious on the outside and juicy on the inside:)
I have been using a bag for about 7 years now. I love it. Yes it gets brown..golden,delicious and juicy. I can't wait for Thursday!! The directions on the bag tell you how much time per pound. It will cook faster than without a bag. I usually cook a 25 pounder and I think it takes about 2.5-3 hours.

There should be directions as to what temperature and for how long on the Reynold's package.
Mine turned golden brown...I rubbed with a tiny bit of olive oil and a tiny bit of maple syrup before I put it in the oven. I think mine was only a 13 pounder and I had to bake it in the oven for 2.5 hrs. It was SO good!!! :) Good luck. :-)
The bags are fantastic and the turkey turns out great. There are instructions on the amount of time per pound. You will be pleased!!
