Cooking ( Reheating, Don't Panic) an Already Cooked Ham

Hi mamas. I'm preparing an already cooked ham in the oven. Just a standard, round 8 pounder I will bake on low (325) for about 2 hours. Is there any way to jazz it up or otherwise make it better? I plan to cover it with foil and perhaps add a honey/butter glaze at the end of the baking. Any suggestions for a yummy ham?!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Ok, so used the wrong word. Of course I'm not again cooking an already cooked ham. But I will be cooking generally in my kitchen all day and I'm looking for ways to make the ham taste better, not a lesson in proper word use. If your response simply restates what I said I'm already planning to do, that doesn't help me. Thanks! :)

You are re-heating it. Not cooking it.

What do I do for my ham?

Heinz 57 sauce, honey, pineapple juice and garlic...mix enough to cover the ham as a glaze and drizzle it over it...works best if it's a spiral sliced ham. I top with pineapple rings....I might add some cloves as well to take away some of the saltiness!!

Directions should state 325 for 15 minutes per pound!

I put a rack in a pan and add a half inch of water in the pan.
I put the ham (it's a bone in pre-cooked spiral cut ham) on the rack and then cover the ham (except for the bottom on the rack) with foil and then cook at 325 degrees for 12 minutes per pound (that's what it said in the directions my ham came with).
The water steams the ham and keeps it juicy.
When it's done, take it out of the oven and let it rest with the foil on it for 10 or so minutes so the moisture is absorbed into the meat.
Then serve it.
We heat up the glaze in the microwave then drizzle a little of it onto the ham on the plates.
We're having pineapple on the side and mashed potatoes.
No matter how big a ham we get, it doesn't last long - my guys devour it fairly quickly.

Pineapple. Two hours is too long. Risk drying it out. An hour I think would be good.

This recipe for Cola-Pineapple Glazed Ham is amazing and easy, jazzes it up quite nicely :) So much so I make it a couple of times a year.

We put pineapples and cloves on, and my mom said to put gingerale in the bottom. Completly cover it up with foil.. should make it nice n moist. This is how we are doing ours.
Good luck and Happy Easter!

Perhaps a brown sugar honey glaze? Like a spin on honey baked hams? Or I've seen it baked with orange juice, and honey. Not sure how that would taste cause my friend made it. Enjoy your ham:)
