I posted mine on slow cooker recipes further on down.
I put the meat in the crock pot and pour about 1/2 cup water over it. I don't add salt because it messes with something in the meat and it prohibits the meat from cooking all the way or something like that. A friend of mine had a husband that was a Master chef at a very fancy restaurant an they never put salt on raw meat as it cooked.
I just put the meat and the little bit of water in and do not open the lid. Every time you open the crock pot lid you add about 15-20 minutes of cooking time to the whole process.
Yeah, if you have a crockpot, just throw it in there with some salt and pepper and let it cook in it's own juices. Or put on a dry rub of your choosing. You'll get the most tender, melt in your mouth meat. Seriously, the crockpot is the way to go!
I just throw mine in the crock pot with some onion, carrots and potatoes. I add a lot of water or broth to mine. You want to make sure there's enough liquid.
I have the Pampered Chef covered baker, like a dutch oven. I salt it and shove 2 garlic cloves in it and bake it at 350 until its done then broil it for a crispy outside, its like Carnitas without being deep fried. I use it for tacos, or to eat just like that.
