I have a frozen ham roast 1.5 lbs...I'd like to make it for dinner...
I'm not sure how to heat it..I won't be home until 4..if I put it in a bowl of water ??? In the fridge could I just cook it in the oven when I get home. bake it for an hour or 2???? Or should I put it frozen in my crock pot on low for hrs?? Would I need to add liquid?..
Sorry this is so stupid of a question but I don't have much experience. Thank u...and there are no directions on the packaging other than it is fully cooked already. Tcc

Oh please. this is not a crisis. A 1.5 pound small ham will thaw in 6 minutes in the microwave on defrost. Brush it with some honey and sherry and bake it for 90 minutes at 350.
It takes a certain amount of time per pound when the roast is thawed. I would have put the ham in the fridge on Friday evening or at least yesterday to cook today.
You'll probably not get it thawed in a few minutes and able to cook. IF you can slice it you can do that then heat the slices on a griddle or in a frying pan just misted with PAM or a tiny tiny bit of oil.
But in my own little opinion it will still be frozen for at least an hour and a half even if you keep putting warm, not hot, water on it in a pan in the sink. It's too dense and it's frozen solid. Trying to thaw stuff in hot water causes the outside to start cooking a tiny tiny bit and it turns white and it's basically like boiled meat and it looks nasty.
Perhaps you can stop at the store and grab another piece of meant to cook. A roast of any sort takes a couple of hours from the time you get it out of the package until you sit it on the table to serve.
