I can lick all the white frosting off and mail you the cookie part. I'm not found on the cookie part any how.

Do any of you know of a brand of cookie that is like the Oreo "Chocolate cookie" Not the filling, just the crispy dark chocolate?
Thank you for your help.

They are called "Famous Chocolate Wafers" and made by Nabisco. We use these for alot of our cupcake recipes (for fancy fru-fru decorations) from some cupcake books we have. My teenager has "cupcake Parties" all time.

When Oreos not available, Hydrox will always work LOL. Although hard to
find in NY.
i think there are some grocery stores that carry the 'store brand' - but I don't know of any off the top of my head that are JUST the outside - sorry!!
no - but if you are wanting to use it for a crust, I think I have seen on the baking isle a box of just the crumbled cookie to make the crust with......
The Nabisco chocolate wafers are what I think you're looking for. I have a hard time finding them though. Try Randall's - I don't usually find them at HEB. And sometimes you have to really scour the cookie aisle to find just a few boxes! (I use them in great quantities for a dipped cookie treat at Christmas time.)
Annies makes a chocolate bunny graham cookie, I thing Honeymaid makes chocolate graham crackers, too. If you are looking to make piecrust, I make my own chocolate pastry crust from scratch for my chocolate cheesecake recipe. Easy, just butter, sugar, flour and cocoa. Send me a message if you'd like the recipe.
Hydrox is the closest I have ever had to the original Oreo. Hydrox was actually the first to come out and was #1 until Oreo took over. The store brand just does not match up.
i just saw a gorgeos cake, icebox cake??? made with layers of the wafer and then some yummy gorgeous cream. It was beautiful. reminded me of a pine cone almost. I heard it was in the baking aisle. don't remember the name, but nabisco famous wafers sounds right.
