I would go to a tailor and ask them. I would think a good one could.
Sounds weird, I know, but I was given a gift card to a really nice maternity store and treated myself to this one pair of pants about halfway through my pregnancy. I've never had pants I love this much - I love the way they fit my butt, my legs, etc. The problem is, they have that high stretchy panel. I'm nearing the end of my pregnancy and I don't want to stop wearing them! Is there any way to convert them to regular pants? They are not jeans, they are like cargo pants kind of - that kind where you can wear them long or button up at the ankle to make capris. I've seen similar styles at non-maternity stores that just have a wide band on the waist, not necessarily a regular top with a button and zipper which would seem harder to create. Does anyone know if a professional seamstress could replace the panel with some kind of matching wide band or something?

My DD is almost 8 months old and I still love my Kohl's maternity jean capris! Just keep wearing them if you like them. Congrats on the new baby!
I think it depends on the style and cut. It is tricky to convert back. I read several patterns to change non maternity to maternity clothes and most said at the start, no going back. But if it is a forgiving style a professional might be able to do it.

I had a maternity skirt that I lived in! I wound up wearing it for months afterward and no one could tell if I wore longer shirts.
