Make sure he is taking in a lot of fluids, water even and mixed with apple juice or prune juice.
Too much dairy can constipate, like too much cheese.
My daughter had it when she was a baby and I tried soy milk on her, it was awful! I feel for you.
Talk to your Peditrician about it too.

More fluids was the issue for our little guy. If he has choking or any other issues, it's worth mentioning to a doctor.

A little prune juice in his juice or milk usually does the trick. If not, I would check with your doc.

We go to a pediatric chiropractor for this. When she first opened her office, she was known as "the poop doctor." She works wonders!

I would take a good look at his diet. At 13 months he is still pretty young and some things that you might be giving him may be to hard on his stomach still. But juice works really good plus stuff with fiber like oatmeal and fruit.
