Ok, Mine is hereditary. My grandmother and my mother have thin hair that falls out. They actually have bald patches. I am getting there.

I have honestly tried everything and then in January, my daughter's hairstylist told me to to try this new product. It is not inexpensive, but girl it works!

! Use to be every night and every morning I had at least 12 to 24 strand of hair come out onto my hands. Now it is maybe 2 strands at the most.

This will not help you re-grow hair. I have still not found a product that works for me to regrow lost hair. But this will help you keep the hair that is growing. Now I am also noticing, my hair seems like it growing out faster too..

Aveda "invati" Exfoliating Shampoo.
Aveda "invati" Thickening Conditioner
Aveda "invati" Scalp Revitalizer

Hope this helps.

It's hormones! My hair did that with both kids. I finally went on a supplement for balancing my hormones and it stopped.

My hair tends to shed a lot when it's longer and it also is largely due to the shampoo I use as well. Try switching to Dove (this one worked for me) and see if it helps.

I have the exact same problem! Is your hair long? My hair is long and I know that the woman that does my hair said that I should get it cut every 3 months..it's been 7 months! Havent had a chance to go out to her salon. But I recently went to Ulta and purchased a product called Organix Argan oil and LOVE it! I noticed shine in my hair and it doesnt shed as much. Also, are you taking vitamins? I just started taking Biotin (skin/hair/nail support) and was told that it really helps. Another thing I was told is that once I get out of the shower to comb my hair, not brush it but comb it and massage my scalp which I also have been doing, sounds weird but I guess it works. Hope I was helpful! Good luck!

I plan to watch your post for some suggestions. When I had my first and then my 4 yr old, I did not have a problem. My son was born 4 months ago and a couple of weeks ago I noticed that I am losing a LOT more than I used to. With long hair, it seems like a lot more that short but I get more hair in the tub drain and then when I comb my hair (never brush when it is wet) and then I can even run my fingers through and get quite a few. Very upsetting. Hopefully it doesn't last too long.

I remember losing a lot of hair after my kids were born. It was really scary, so I feel your pain. I think it is just a hormonal thing; maybe not much you can do. Are you taking a good vitamin supplement, i.e. natural and not synthetic? Do you use hair care products without harmful chemicals? Good luck to you!

Isn't that a symptom of thyroid problems? I would see if you have any other symptoms and get it checked out if you do.
