Any suggestions, feelings, or recommendations on software for blocking access to sites/content on the internet? I've heard of netnanny and cybersitter...but I haven't much feedback. Anyone have any experience with either one, or a different one all together that you can recommend?
Thanks!

You might want to check out Family Safety from Microsoft.

I HIGHLY recommend Safe Eyes. www.safeeyes.com We have tried several different ones over the past 7 years and this one is by far the best. On their site you will see all the positive reviews and awards they have received. It is very easy to use (compatible with Mac, Leopard, Parallels, etc...) and customize for your families needs. Good luck!
Hi J.,
All the responces you have are great but. Before you try to do any of them consider one thing...If you have a router already you and your husband should be able to go into your router and list/block the sites you want to avoid. We have a linkes router and my husband can block MySpace, YouTube and others. Just consider that before you go and purchase any software. Find out more about your router and what it can do if you have one other wise go with one of the softwears.
Good Luck,
T.
My husband will not even consider any of the software: it allows you to go everywhere except for specific sites. He has the kids' computers "whiteboarded". This means that the computers can only go to the sites he specifies and no where else. If your interested let me know and I'll ask him to contact you.
Have you looked into BeSafe Online? It comes highly recommended on our Christian radio station in Dallas. My brother and sister-in-law use it and have been very happy with it and it is pretty inexpensive and easy to download. Good luck!
If you've got Norton Antivirus already on your computer, these components should be includes so you won't need to go out and purchase additional software.
We use BSafe online. We really like it.
I've tried both and I like cybersitter and have used it for years. Easy to use and doesn't slow you down. Once in awhile it will block a site that doesn't seem like it should, and you can easily disable the cybersitter to allow access. I've tried NetNanny...it was too difficult to use and did slow down my website access.
