Yup, go by the school and pick up book A.
Good for your son for wanting two books to read!!!!
first grade teacher gave all teh kids a book -- book A, the company didn't send enough of book A so teacher offered my son Two choices
#1 he could have Book B
#2 I could bringhim to the school the day after school lets out for the year two days from now, and the book everyone else got could be in and he could have book A
According to my son, he responded by saying, I"ll take Book B now and my mom will bring me back for book A when it comes in.
apperantly the teacher agreed to this but didn't send me a note or email.
Is this a no brainer?
Here is my take on this, I am embarrassed that it seems like she was offering ONE book for him to choose from and he is trying to wrangle two books., and i'm sure the reason he was picked for this whole "deal" is because he is generally easy going, but He's been going through something maybe just summer time blues, or the whole transition of ending the school year and staying up later with baseball games and practices, what ever but he has been a total crank butt.
I'm really assuming since she hasn't contacted me that her thought is one book too.
I am soooo glad he is a great reader, and there is a used book sale coming up that I had planned to take him too, which he knows about, plus we go to the library alll the time. The book he was offered and i think the book the others recieved were way way below his reading level. So i think i'm just going to explain to him that each kids gets one book and since he chose the one he recieved taht is the one he gets and I'll remeind him about the book sale. thanks mamas

I agree with Lesley but you can always email the teacher to confirm. They understand things can get confusing by the time the info gets to you.
Just ask the teacher. Likely your son gave you the correct info, but it's good to clarify, just so you are both on the same page.
Kind of a complicated choice for a kid at time of year when there is so very much going on at school...It sounds like an "either/or" choice she was offering, not a "take one and also get the other" choice, or even "take B, come back and hand it in to me, and get A instead."
He may have been a bit confused. I'd e-mail or call her to clarify so he does not turn up at school expecting to get book A as well as B, and end up upset when she has to say, I"m sorry, we agreed you would take book B then rather than wait and come back for A...She may not have enough books to go around if he has one of each, depending on what other kids have said yes to.
