Colored Ace Bandage?

I can't believe I can't find a colored ace bandage for my 4 yo. I just knew they made these. Has anyone found any colored bandages that work the same as an ace bandage? My little guy broke his finger and has to have a splint on his arm for 2 weeks and I wanted to at least give him some color to his bandage. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

If you are just wanting to add color (not support) with a bandage, try self-adhesive bandage wraps. They have them at pet stores (like PetsMart & PetCo) in different colors, and in my experience cheaper than the same thing for humans! haha

you could dye a regular ace bandage. They sell dyes in all sorts of colors, you just put the dye in the washing machine with whatever you want to dye.

You can get the colored athletic tapes, etc. at any sporting good's store.

I'd also call around to various Medical supply companies to see if they stock them. They're usually referred to as Durable Medical Supply companies.

You can also ask pharmacists to order products into the store for you. If you have a specific store you usually shop at, see if the pharmacist can order the colored ace bandages for you. I think, though, that you'd be OK with some of the items you'd find at a sporting good's store (as someone who was constantly injured in gymnastics growing-up).

I am not sure if they are the same quality, but I think you can get something like that at Justice stores. Worth a try.

Can you get some fabric dye and dye it? Get brown and green and do camoflauge.

I know you're in VA beach, but in Richmond there is Westbury pharmacy, it's a family owned, old school pharmacy. They sell colored age bandages in the home health care department, maybe you could find something similar in your area!

Vet wrap, you can get it on most any animal webite. Usually you can find it the cheapest at jeffers.com or countrysupply.com. Its like an ace bandage but it sticks to itself. They use it on animals to hold bandages on. My husbandand and I use it all the time, it works better than bandaids and ace bandages because it doesn't slip off as easily. The kids like it because they can pick what color they like.

Wrap the outside of the splint (and Ace bandage if needed) with one of the colorful guaze wraps that stick to themselves. Should be able to find them in the drugstore or Target/WalMart.
