Hello Moms,
Anyone have some good ideas for client gifts? I am an independent contractor and want to send a little something to my clients for the holidays. Not too expensive but not something crappy that they'll never use. Have you ever given or received a client gift that you thought was particularly neat, clever or useful? I would love your suggestions. Thanks!

at my previous job we used to get from one of our vendors a tub of "Moose Munch" I think it was called. It was my favorite thing that we received. It was a tub of chocolate and carmel covered popcorn. It is SSOO Good!!
Here is a link, it is not too expensive. I dont' know how many cliets you are buying for... http://www.harryanddavid.com/gifts/store/item____gourmet-... Munch:s=best:p=999
Good luck - how thoughtful of you!
I don't have a suggestion for a gift but do make sure that your clients are allowed to accept gifts from contractors/vendors before you go through all the trouble. My husband works extensively with contractors/vendors and each holiday season they offer some really cool, neat things - especially the vendors who have big pockets. He has to turn every single one of them down due to the ethics agreement that governs his office. (It sucks - we've missed out on cool things like food, wine, sporting/theater tickets, etc.)
Oh...and that Moose Munch listed below freaking ROCKS!
We have many out of state clients, so I always found a local business to support. Is there anything uniquely Chicago? We have several small chocolotiers in the area, so I usually buy some boxed chocolates from them to send out. It is always greatly appreciated and, I think, keeps them coming back.
Good luck,
C.
We are in the raw materials industry and sell multi-millions of pounds of materials to customers who make things from garbage bags, plastic wraps, tapes, pipe, etc.
One of my favorite is from a large customer. It i usually some sort of container (small garbage can, ice chest, etc) and thy fill the container with garbge bags, and goodies that are native to our area...pralines, salsa's, etc. I never purchase garbage bags, LOL, I love the extra containers for storage.
Other things we receive are Honeybaked Hams, Chocolates, Champayne, Wine, etc.
These customizable firtune cookies are so cool...you could personalize a message thanking them for their business and predicting a good 2011.
This is what my Dad used, for his clients.
They loved getting it.
Great selections.
AND things people will eat. Not a wast of money.
Or, things from Vista Print.

Great selections and various price points, and even 'free' items which are great. I use them too. Very nice.
all the best,
Susan
It really depends what your profession is. That would help to guide my answer. But here are a few thoughts that could work for you:
-small notpad with your contact information and a small pen as well (pocket sized so men can put them in their back pocket)
-purse mirror with cover (men and women like these)
-decorative pin
-card wallet with your business card already in it and/or business information on the wallet itself (a big hit with the men and women!)
We have people who send us food, like popcorn tins and chocolate at work, and we love it.
