I am looking for a mold remover cleaning supply for the bathroom that doesn't smell so bad that it takes over the entire house. I have always used Tilex mold remover, however it smells so bad and is so bad on my and my families lungs whenever it is used. I cannot seem to find a MOLD remover that doesn't create such a toxic environment. Any suggestions??

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for your awesome suggestions. I really appreciate them. I cleaned this weekend with baking soda and vinegar and although I can't stand the smell, at least i could breath without feeling like I was getting high on toxic chemicals. I never new vinegar was such a great cleaner. Mold gone and my bathtub looks great.
Thanks so much again.

Adding 2 teaspoons tea tree oil to 2 cups water in a spray bottle and spraying on mold will help get rid of the problem.

Try melaleuca Solumel. I switched "stores" a few years ago when I figured out bleach was casing me to have migraines. The Solumel is the most wonderful product I have ever used and it kills mold and mildew with a fresh scent. I love it!!!!

I just had the same problem, mold in the bathroom. I found this stuff at Home Depot, called Concrobium Mold Control, no VOC, no bleach, no ammonia in it. I didn't think it had any odor really. Worked awesome and it is preventive too. If you spray it on after cleaning and leave it, it should prevent mold from growing. The spray bottle was $8-9 but hopefully a one time purchase. I used it on the painted ceiling but I was planning on re-painting the bathroom anyway. Didn't really seem to hurt the paint. (my husband use flat paint when he painted the bathroom, big mistake)
hope that helps.

Tub & Tile is a great cleaner in general, but it will clean off mold and mildew if used in its concentrated form. I also agree that Seventh Generation has great products that aren’t as toxic and harmful as Tilex, but Seventh Generation can get kind of spendy. I use all safe and natural products in our home that are very affordable. If you are interested, I can show you how to get discounted prices on household cleaners and other personal care items.

Bleach will work but the fumes are terrible.

Try baking soda paste.
