I am getting ready to list my home and I would like someone to come in and clean it all! I mean blinds, windows, baseboards, front of refridgerator, bathrooms, shelves, etc. Can anyone recommend someone great, reliable, and trustworthy? I don't mind spending a few extra bucks for this 1 time service, I just want them to meet all my expectations so I don't have to waste time and money to do it again. Know what I mean.

CLEAN DESIGN & GARDENS

I can't say enough about how good Doreen is. She can and will do anything, and for a very reasonable price. Her husband helps if need be. Their home is ALWAYS immaculate and Doreen's green thumb in her english garden is a joy for the neighborhood. She also sews...light curtains or draped fabric on windows, valances, pillows, and some alterations. I'm trying to get her into catering. She loves to intertain. Wonderful appetizers! I'm telling you, she can do anything and with much detail and HEART!
You can call Linda at Laveta's Maid Service. ###-###-####. She will quote a price and they will have to stick to it; but they will charge a certain amount for each blind etc. I use her company for apartment make-ready's. I'm not always happy with the end product, but I can always call Linda and she will make them go back out and finish the job. You can try to get Melinda. She is very detailed. by unhappy, I mean that sometimes they miss things like the top of the fridge, cleaning the shelves inside the cabinets, etc. Melinda is pretty good, though. good luck.
Just be careful when you are quoted a price. I have a 4000 sq ft house and I wanted a crew to do just that for a mid year clean. We had just installed wood floors so I had a dust bowl from all the sanding of the floors. I was upfront about extra dust, etc due to some remodeling.
The lady came out, walked through my house, then quoted me $150. I thought that sounded light because I mentioned the ENTIRE process. They were bringing in ladders, etc to get to all spots. She assured me, "oh yes, we will be here 3 hrs".
WELL....3 hrs later, they had not even stepped upstairs. They were doing a great job but it was a painstaking task as I told her. In the end, the lead lady on the team (only one that barely spoke English or acted like she understood it) kept asking me for more money. She said they would not be able to pay the team (total of 4), etc. I knew I was underquoted.
I ended up paying $300 (I would not have had a problem with that IF I had been told in advance after I specified everything). I felt bullied about the money...per the contract I did not HAVE to pay anything more. I did it because I knew they were working hard and I knew that the $300 was more like the quote I was expecting from the start.
THEN to top it off...I put out a small selection of water and/or soda for everyone to get one for refreshment. They took it ALL. Right there in front of me, they loaded their bags with all of the drinks. Then they asked me for any old rags or towels they could use with the business.
At that point....I was upset. The cleaning job was very good but I do not trust the people. They still clean my neighbors house weekly and she loves them.
Just my two cents worth on having someone come in to help. I just resigned to do it myself.
