Cleaning My Shower

Anything that you can leave sit on the black spots works. I used Soft Scrub the other day and let it sit for the whole day. I didn't even scrub anything I just rinsed it off. (The black mold was making babies in the shower) LOL It was terrible..and under the caulking. Needless to say the shower has never been whiter and it smells really good. I've also used the Clorox gel toilet bowl cleaner in times of need and it does just fine.

G. I just solved my problem with AquaMix Grout Deep Clean- I just bought it at Lowes this past weekend. I had such a problem getting the tiles and grout clean....It worked amazing...I think it was 6.00. Good luck. B.

Try Ajax. The house i moved into recently had really bad stains in the shower, a little Ajax and scrubbing got rid of a lot of them. In my kitchen I use vinegar and baking soda for just about everything, and I have yet to come across a stain that combo can't get rid of. One of those two (the Ajax or the baking soda with vinegar) will do the trick :-)

I have just used 1/2 bleach 1/2 water put in a spray bottle, open the bathroom windows and spray it down.. Let it set for a while. That should take care of it.. Good ol' Comet and a scrub brush works well too!!!

Have you tried Magic Eraser from Mr. Clean? That is amazing! It cleaned the grout between my tiles like nothing else would! It doesn't feel like much but it works really well.

Straight degreaser, I swear by it and it will remove anything!

Try Tilex mold and mildew or Tilex Mildew root.

KABOOM.. My Fiancee is a mechanice, so our shower gets REALLY dirty no matter how much I clean it. And the Kaboom works wonders. After I clean it, it looks like a brand new shower. Works wonders. You can find it in your nearest walmart, or shopping store..

use regulaar bleach ( non Scented) and leave for a couple of hours.

Tilex is good , but toxic. It will run you slap out of the house , lol.
BUT ... on an episode of " How Clean Is Your House?" , I saw those two ladies take baking soda and sprinkle it liberally over the stained areas , then take a few FRESH lemons , cut them in halves , and squeeze the juice over the baking soda ( you will want to wear gloves ) , let it sit for maybe 15 or more minutes , then go back with your gloved hands and use one of those lemon halves to rub and scrub the tiles. I've tried it , and it made the surfaces sparkling clean , wasn't lethal , lol , and it smells awesome.

theres this stuff called "mean green" it comes in a white and green bottle the label is green and orange and it has little eyes over the name..lol.. but anyways I swear by this stuff I use it for everything! It has even gotten a small blood stain out of a white tee of mine when my daughter hurt her finger then wiped it on me.I buy it at, where else? WAL-MART! See if it works!

Oxy mr clean erasers. Love them!

I would only use non-toxic ideas since this is a "mama" website as I am assuming you have children or are preggo. :) I use oxyclean, use as directed on box(it's just oxyclean and water). Let it sit and scrub when you rinse it. OR I have also used the baking soda and lemon juice idea and it also worked great. :) Good Luck!

Try a product called "The Works" tub and shower cleaner it does a great job. I've also tryed "Bam" but think the works is better.

i use 'soft scrub with beach'- i love it because i can squeeze it right on the grout and use a grout brush and get it clean. i have applied the soft scrub then scrubed it then let it sit for a few minutes then scrub it again before rinsing on really bad areas.- also 'the works' works.

TILEX!! It will definitely do the trick! My mom uses it religiously and she cleans homes for a living. If its really bad you may have to spray it on the area and leave it a couple times, however dont wipe or rinse it off until the spots are gone.

I have used easy off bam with good results. I don't have tile but it will work on it I think. I also like scrubbing bubbles foaming stuff. Don't buy that cheap knock off! I tried the publix stuff and it didin't work as good!

Are the black stains in the grout? If so you may want to just call someone in to clean the grout. If it's black I think it may be mold.

PURPLE POWER!!!! you have to go to the autoparts store to get it, I go to Auto Zone. My husband uses it alot iin his mechanics hobby and I tried the stuff in my shower adn it works great!!! I have used it for several other uses as well!!!!

I have an awesome product that clean tile... its ecomonical, safer then bleach and it works!

G. I'll tell you the same about this that I did about the tooth polish www.maleleuca.com all of these products are so effective I have the worst water here in my town and this stuff really helps. Plus they are safe for the family, the earth and good for the septic if you have one. Also they are much more cost effective as they are concentrated and one bottle makes 4 24 oz spray bottles of cleaner. I hope this helps you.
