We just moved into a home. It is wonderful and very nice. There is a shower in my husband's bathroom that has hard water stains on it. I am pregnant. What are some safe products that will take this off. I have tried vinegar with no luck. Also, it is a fiberglass surround if that helps. The floor looks dingy but I have tried a scrub brush with comet with no luck. The glass shower door is what really bothers me as you can see the hard water spots.
Melaleuca's tub & tile cleaner and then I use their "no work" daily shower cleaner. All of Melaleuca's products are non-toxic and safe. Their products don't even have the child resistant caps on them, that is how safe they are.
The Comet spray bathroom cleaner have always done a good job for me on water spots on fixtures and glass, soap scum and dinginess on fiberglass. Car wax helps repel all that after you get it clean, but of course not on the floor because it would be slippery as all get out!

I have tried everything under the sun but recently my sil told me to try out the magic eraser sponges. Best thing i have ever bought!! I use about 2 on my fiberglass whirlpool. You can actually see the difference as you scrub! I used to use Comet but will never buy it again. Worth giving it a shot! I wish they sold it at Costco cause i will use the whole box in one day for my entire house.
FYI i get the UP brand from Target & works just the same as arm&hammer.
Magic erasers and Method Grapefruit multi-purpose cleaner.
I suggest making a paste of vinegar and baking soda and trying that. The baking soda will offer a non toxic abrassive and the vinegar will help to actually clean
If not maybe get a hard water cleaner and kindly ask your husband to take one for the team due to your pregnancy

I know it sounds strange but a little lemon oil on a rag makes a world of difference. We used to use it on shower doors all the time when I worked at Merry Maids.
I tried every product I could find. The only one that works for me is Lime Away, although not that safe. I just have my husband clean the shower door and I clean everything else with my all natural stuff.
I agree - a hard water cleaner (Lime Away or CLR) will work best on the door. I love soft scrub spray gel with bleach for the floor. None are all that natural, but might be worth it just once. Then go to vinegar and baking soda etc. And of course have someone else do it since you are pregnant. Maybe you can convince your husband to hire some one to clean it really well - if he doesn't want to do it : )
Straight vinegar does eventually dissolve most hard water spots, but it needs to stay in contact for awhile. I saturate paper towels and plaster them on the walls, then dampen them with fresh vinegar every 15 minutes or so.
Mixing vinegar and baking soda is harmless, but neutralizes both. You won't get a very strong cleaning effect, but you will get plenty of fizzing and foaming while they are interacting.
A small squeegee handy for use after future showers will prevent most new deposits from water spots.
Most of the products so far recommended are toxic. I use Shaklee's cleaners. The Scour Off is fantastic.
